I am afraid that prices will hit a new records. I am expecting to pay $500 for a back mezzanine seat.

I do not think you can compare both productions. Evita, a more popular musical, has reached a level of publicity this summer that few productions achieve. Even people who are not into musicals are hearing things. If or when it comes to Broadway, I am expecting very high prices. There is a lot of buzz for this production.

On that other board they are talking about February 2026.... I am sure Lea Michele is not thrilled to hear such rumors.

I agree. It just does not work. Also, as someone has mentioned above, we need to know more about the enabling girlfriend. If someone comes to me with that idea, I'd discourage them. But she gives in without a full-fledged explanation.
This is also a musical that would work better as a tight 90 mn.

About MHE, I recently watched the Fallon segment and I thought it worked very well. It features the four cast members, including HwaBoon.

Girl From the North Country to be filmed May 25

I love this musical (and I am not a fan of Bob Dylan's music). It is a beautiful "score" but a really sad book that I am sure puts people off.
Mare Winningham's performance is so delicate and beautiful that every time that she starts singing I start crying.
BTW, it is a beautiful recording of the musical. Thanks.

Erivo will lead one-woman DRACULA in West End from DORIAN GRAY team May 13

While I think Erivo is wonderful, and after having seen "Dorian Gray" (I admired it more than loved it), I think I will pass unless the prices are reasonable. I am expecting it to be very expensive. So, we will see.
But, it sounds like DG redux.

It is a wonderful article. I love that they discuss the process and the "momma" word. I think everything should be filmed but this one needs to be filmed by "Great Performances." This performance needs to be preserved visually.

PIRATES! THE PENZANCE MUSICAL Reviews Apr 25

Holdren's review https://www.vulture.com/article/theater-review-pirates-penzance-musical.html
Negative.
Every so often, some full-fledged Gilbert and Sullivan sparkles through the Ellis and Holmes, and the effect is instantly galvanizing. There it is — the brilliant thing that’s been buried, the real source of life and energy underneath all the plumping, filling, tucking, and squeezing.

MAYBE HAPPY ENDING Reviews Apr 24

I was at the Matinee yesterday and it is still a beautiful musical. I love the score. What surprised me yesterday, fifth visit, is how perfect Darren Cris is. I think his performance nowadays is much improved; such a detailed and layered performance. I was in awe. Chen was always perfect.
I still think it is the best new musical (and I have seen them all, as of last week). It is not a perfect musical (some of the narrative is still too complicated and fuzzy) but it gets

PIRATES! THE PENZANCE MUSICAL Previews Apr 24

Same for me. The first act is heaven but the second act falls flat. I am not a purist, but I really disliked the musical arrangements. The "prologue" is totally unnecessary and some of the Gilbert/Sullivan jokes were rather amateurish. I also agree that the sound was very poor (center mezzanine) and I know POP rather well or else I do not think I would have understood much of the lyrics. One of my favorite numbers (the paradox) is not as crisp as it should be, for exampl

SUNSET BLVD. Revival Mar 13

I was there tonight, Thursday March 13th. We had Betty's understudy, and Sydney Jones was wonderful. Great voice and presence. And great chemistry with Tom Francis. She resembles young Norma and Norma, creating an eery effect.
The production is still perfect for me. I love it. Tonight's audience was incredible, we were all enraptured by the proceedings. Long curtain call.

Same. Like I said above, don't try anything with Amex. I suggest clearing your cookies for Bam and starting over."
I also tried AMEX and failed. On the seat map, there are several tix blocked for AMEX. However, the Orchestra does not have great availability so I decided to renew my membership and bought two tix. &nb

The LGBTQ+ community voted overwhelmingly for Kamala.
LGBT voters shifted even more solidly into the Democratic camp this year, according to the NBC News Exit Poll. Harris led President-elect Trump 86% to 12% among LGBT voters, the poll found. That’s a 15-point change from 2020, when Trump won 27% of the LGBT vote against Biden.

"- she LITERALLY called out the industry for never giving Nicole a platform to showcase what she can do and how fantastically talented she is."
I think this is a narrative that I have been hearing in the last couple of weeks that I believe is true but it may pay dividends in June.
And, like some of you, I was aware of who NS was, but never in a million years would have believed that a Pussycat Doll could give the galvanizing performance that she ser
