give gavino a break. Broadway is not ruined but I think they're trying to say from our point of view what was a low point in broadway.

I got Lea the other night and she seemed a bit divaish. She wouldn't talk to me and when I tried to talk to her she just brushed me off.

re: To anyone happy to see 'Beauty' go...
 Jan 17 2007, 11:23:39 PM
Beauty and the Beast was my first show when I was 9 years old I still remember it. i'm sad to see it go. However, I don't think i remember a really magical cast for it in awhile. Also, this is just the little competitive kid in me saying this but I kinda want A Chorus Line to be the longest running American broadway show ever besides BatB. It had a good run.

Near A Chorus Line Stage Door.

Girl: Okay wait where did that hot Jewish guy go?
Guy: You mean the one over there?
Girl: Yeah why is he behind the fence?
Guy: You realize he's part of that show.
Girl: Damnit.

I didn't see Michael last time I went? And I must say that I only saw about 1/2 the cast. However I got to talk with Charlotte and she so wonderfully nice.

Defidently Mr. Cladwell in Urinetown because of the whole "non-musical" ending of the show as pointed out by officer Lockstock
Spamalot in Las Vegas

does anyone have any info on it? Like any for sure dates or some of the cast? And how soon is "coming soon?" I know that generally when shows open in a new location some of the original cast may come for a limited time.

re: Sondheim wants voice test for Depp re Sweeney
 Aug 15 2006, 01:42:32 PM
I love Johnny Depp and I think he would be great --only if he can sing. I really want to see Alan Cumming in there. I love whatacharacter's cast. That is ideal for me!
re: Why do people hate Cats
 Aug 15 2006, 01:31:38 PM
Cats is more of a showcase of the dancing and singing rather than telling a story and analysis. If I were to tell you what Cats is about I would just say, "It's about cats." and basically that's all there is to it. Like lathearterlover said, "but the general public must like it because how many years did it run?" exactly. The general public.
re: New A Chorus Line Recording
 Aug 15 2006, 01:27:20 PM
I agree with you on that one, frontrowcentre. I started downloading the music for A Chorus Line about a year ago w/o seeing the show or the movie and many of the songs i didnt understand because of not seeing the show and knowing what they were talking about. It's all a person's opinion. Some would rather have the dialogue out, even if they are super huge fans of the show. Personally on some numbers I prefer it w/o the dialogue.
