I did! I really enjoyed this and want to bring my mother and see it again once she's in town. Really funny, yet really touching in some places. I'd recommend tissues, I was a mess!

I don't want to be too ungrateful for a Thursday matinee option, but I did not find much to like in this show. The two leads do their best with a plot and writing that is pedestrian and predictable ... even borderline amateurish at times.
If you read the plot description I would bet you could guess at least 50% of what actually transpires in the script.
That the closing moments still packed somewhat of an emotional punch for me had little to do with the material and more to do with my own lived experiences with my mother's death. YMMV.
I typically enjoy Lombardo’s plays. He writes snappy dialogue. I felt this show was rather inert. I feel that plays that show short vignettes over the years don’t build a satisfying dramatic arc and this fell into that trap.
It was a short two hander but I got bored with the rote presentation and scenarios. Both actors are great but they aren’t given enough to do. Aaron is given a good amount of cringey creaky sitcom dialogue (saying M & Ms instead of S & M). It was sweet but nothing anything needs to go out of their way to see. I went for the actors and they did lovely work. The play itself was mediocre.

Closing three works early on April 21; still lasted longer than either of Lombardo's Broadway plays
