Meshak never gets shot down in the water. In the book, he stays on the boat, goes to America, and eventually makes his way back to England to... basically to stalk Aaron from afar, until he dies.

Loved the play, and enjoyed the book, but didn't really love how they ended it. Meshak's death in the play was far more dramatic, and a lot more interesting, I think. I also didn't like what happens to Thomas in the book either.

Your "really cool friend"? BillFinn, how sweet. And regarding your bww name, I apologise for what I said while we were browsing the stacks at Colony.

Broadway Barks was a lot of fun. I am a dog lover, as well as a lover of Broadway, but had never actually attended this event before. I was so happy that I did. Two of my friends adopted kittens, though sadly I'm not in a position where I can adopt a dog. But I'm so happy that so many of them found happy homes.

Bumped into Jim Dale on the day of last year's Tony Awards, physically bumped into him, on the corner of 51st, way early in the morning as I made my way to a dance class.

"Hmmm...mumblemumbleshgjadgjkl;fdhjkhjgkgj...BOY OF CORAM?? mumblemumblemumble..."

This man's mumblings were in a language not of this world, I would imagine, and he just seemed so lost and confused, staring at the logo.

Wasn't Xanthe Elbrick in this too? I'm curious about how she sang normally, as opposed to a straight-toning boy soprano.

TEACHER: Does anybody know who Sutton Foster is married to?
ME: Christian Borle
TEACHER: Um... what? No, I thought she was married to Hunter Foster.
ME: No, that's her brother.
TEACHER: OH! Eww... so, who was it? Christian Bale?

If you've never heard of French and Saunders, then you probably are unaware of their comic genius. I found some Broadway-related sketches of theirs, one of Liza Minnelli and the other of A Chorus Line. They are HYSTERICAL!! youtube

When I was three, I used to pretend to call up Mary Poppins on the phone on my little plastic kitchen set. I used to sing all these Mary Poppins songs to her. This went on for a while. Does this count?

Todd Sweeney, eh? Was that anything like Opera of the Phantom? Because that was a damn good play.
