There's a great PBS video of Crazy For You (I think it's at the Paper Mill Playhouse)...anyways, it is such a great production and is filmed well.

oh my bad, and you totally said what time you got there in an earlier post. Sorry!

(Although I am kinda relieved I won't have to get up at 5 to rush this show )

Yeah, 5am for Spelling Bee?!?! ^ I'd would like to know what the lines have been like too, if anyone has rushed lately.

Please! thank you! :)

Sieber is brilliant. Such a sweetheart, and so great for this role.

Congratulations to Celia...although if these Sutton rumors are true, I would definately pay money to see Shrek on Broadway.

I love the Little Mermaid slogan...it makes me go "aww" inside :)

"The current West End production of 'Little Shop Of Horrors' has a cartoon of Audrey II eating Joseph from 'Dreamcoat' with the slogan saying 'Any Show Will Do!' - i think thats brilliant."
Ok is there a picture of that anywhere?!? That's pretty funny.

Mia Michaels is choreographing. That's why it's going to be so contemporary.

Oooh Pippin that is so interesting! It's true, Satan thought he had outsmarted God when Jesus was crucified!! Good one.

Yeah, you know it's pretty deep that whole free will analysis.

Again, my only qualm is that by doing away with the narrator, the characters are actually doing away with God, which can't be done in my opinion. Even if you reject God, I don't personally think you can ever do away with Him...soo that's where it gets sticky. But your comparisons are very thought p

I saw Lorin Latarro go on for Sheila. She was AMAZING!

I love the understudies in this cast! Sometimes more than the cast members themselves...eh.

"I agree- act two probably would've ended just as sweetly and "ever afterly" as act one. No one would have learned anything, and would've kept wishing for more than they had."

This is interesting. If you mean God in the Christian sense, as in Jesus Christ, then you're sort of saying that if the narrator(God) had lived the characters would have remained the same. Hmm...I agree! Kind of. I mean, if Jesus hadn't died (and more importantly risen) we would all have remained ignorant too. <

HAhah feline, totally! I mean who needs a rockin belt to play Mimi?...

I'm gonna copy you and say Roxie in Chicago...opposite Bebe of course. And with Usher as Billy Flynn just because he would amuse me every night. (p.s. Melanie can understudy me if she wants...don't worry, I never call out)

Wow guys these are all great! And in NO WAY should talent/gender/race weigh in with your choices (although I'm definately finding myself wanting to live out my fantasy of playing Elle Woods!)

I'll add a couple more

Cassie in A Chorus Line
Celie in Color Purple

I'll also change this up a bit: NOW you can post which show (but really only list your top top one or two) that you would be in (and the role too of course)......past or present: GO!

Lola in Da

Just for fun :) If you could choose to be in (or star in) ANY currently running Broadway show, which would it be? Which part?

Perhaps it's just because the movie came out, but I'm in a Hairspray mood lately - I'd love a stab at Penny! Also, annyy of the three ladies in Jersey Boys.

HAH these are all great!!

(this was at 110 in the Shade). These four old ladies were jabbering away in the row behind me. They started looking through their playbills (and you know how in the back ALL the Broadway and Off-Broadway shows are listed?) Well they come across Spamalot and say,
"Oh that was so sad when that closed."
"It closed? ... Oh oh riiight, yes, who was in that?"
"Nyles - "
" - No David Hyde Pierce. Yes, as soon as he left it closed. That's usually why
