Just for fun :) If you could choose to be in (or star in) ANY currently running Broadway show, which would it be? Which part?
Perhaps it's just because the movie came out, but I'm in a Hairspray mood lately - I'd love a stab at Penny! Also, annyy of the three ladies in Jersey Boys.
Currently? I'm not sure.
Just closed this past weekend? Lizzie in 110 in the Shade.
But currently? I don't know. Someone asked me last night what my favorite current show is and I really couldn't answer. I have to find a new favorite.

Well, I'm only going to say two leads that I may actually have a chance of playing at some point in the future (aka when I'm older and hopefully taller, and I have a few extra notes on top)...
The title role of Phantom
Adolpho in Drowsy
I know jordangirl, Gypsy was my favorite for (what) three weeks? So I'm on the lookout too.
bwaylvsong, I forgot Drowsy! Janet, totally Janet.
I'd be Debra Monk's character in Curtains. I just think its a great show, and i love the character in the show.
Maybe Georgia in Curtains of the currently running ones. Hmmm...

Well, if we can say shows that recently closed, I would say File, Herbie, The Beast (or really any other male role in BatB), and (if I grew a foot lol) Kennedy/Jerry.
Amos in Chicago and Frost in Frost/Nixon.
Diana Morales in A Chorus Line
Kate Monster in Avenue Q
(fairly) recently closed: Amy in Company
current: Maggie in A Chorus Line or Meg Giry in Phantom
I know it just closed, but...
Mama Rose in GYPSY.
Yeah, I'm a guy, but just give me a wig and let me belt it out! It'll happen someday...
Ive been in most of my dream shows in london or on tour but still want to get in to Rent playing Rodger
Would love to do LB as well as it seems like it would be a blast

Currently running? hmmm... I guess georg in SA seems like a fun role

Hmmm...currently running - I would have to say Jon Valjean in Les Mis.
If talent weren't an issue, I would be perfect for Javert.
Man In Chair - Drowsy Chaperone
I would kill to do - "Do I need to be so gloomy? NO! NO! NO!"
Fantine or Eponine in Les Misérables
Ilse in SA
The Chaperone- Drowsy Chaperone
and recently closed-Young Edie-Grey Gardens
ETA: Val in ACL, because lets face it, who doesn't want to sing Dance:10;Looks:3?
Well, my dream role is Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, but that's closed so I guess Carlotta in Phantom, Paulette in Legally Blonde, or Glinda or Elphie in Wicked. But those are all parts for someone way older than me so for my age maybe Thea in Spring Awakening? Just because I would love to say the line about the radical.
Diana in A Chorus Line
I'm totally going to get mocked, but 'Mary Poppins'. I just don't feel inspired to want to be in most of the current Broadway shows at present. If it were any Broadway show ever, or even if you'd asked a few weeks ago, my answer would've been totally different. But you didn't, so 'Mary Poppins' it is. ^_^

Tommy Devito or Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys
Moritz in Spring Awakening
Lt. Frank Cioffi in Curtains
Sir Lancelot in SpamAlot
Rod/Princeton in Avenue Q
Bobby, Mark, or Paul in A Chorus Line.
In the future, Gould in Grey Gardens.
Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys.
If gender/race/age weren't in issue:
Amber Von Tussle
Link larkin
Mary Poppins
Shug Avery
Louise/Gypsy Rose Lee
Delta Nu in Legally Blonde
I've been in a Legally Blonde mood the past few days, so right now, I'd love to play Elle, Serena, Margot, OR Vivienne.
Ernst in "Spring Awakening" is the only role I could actually delude myself into thinking I could be. So, I'll take it! Haha.
