This is your first footage of this show and there is not a single set piece on stage. WHAT is happening?"

Well... there are so few set pieces in the show. And when they appear, they are hideous.

The show is nearly three hours of people in jeans and a teeshirt talking and talking and talking on a bare stage. WHERE is th

Absolutely! I find her endlessly charming and fascinating to listen to. Whenever I se

This is fabulous. The orchestrations are lush, and the new lyrics are sharper than ever. Taking the closing number from a 40-minute episode and transforming it into an exciting opening number for a 2.5-hour show is a significant challenge. I believe they more than rose to meet it.

I get your point, but the DGA is notoriously tough to break into. It took Christopher Nolan 20 years just to get a nomination. Given that the film scored 10 nominations, it&r

Just putting this out there for anyone who needs to hear it: your life will get so much better if you focus on what brings you joy instead of getting stuck on what makes you miserable.

Wicked earned 10 Academy Award Nominations including Best Actress (Cynthia Erivo), Best Supporting Actress (Ariana Grande), and Best Picture.

It also gets a nom for Production Design, Costumes, Editing, and Score (this one is a lovely surprise).

Wow, that's incredibly dumb and ridiculous. Kinda like when Jimmy screams at Derek that "HE DESERVES HIS SONG TO BE ON BROADWAY CUZ HE WORKED REALLY HARD ON IT!" Nah.

Barbie used the same messaging in several of its trailers...

For anyone like me who enjoys following betting odds, here are some updates from Gold Derby based on the last week of Awards nominations:

Wicked moves up to #4 (from #5) in the Best Picture Race

Cynthia Erivo moves up to #4 (from #5) in the Best Actress category

Ariana Grande remains at #2 for Best Supporting Actress (I suspect she'll take #1 in the next week or so).

Yes, but if both Grande and Erivo were nominated for Best Actress, the votes for each would cancel each other out. And

I don't see the hype dying down any time soon. The film is holding exceptionally well, even against Moana. It'll continue playing well through Christmas, and Universal is willing to pay for an expensive Oscar campaign. Ariana's nomination is seemingly locked, but pieces like this are already coming out in favor of the film... and Erivo.

I must say, I've never been a huge fan of the stage play, but I understand its popularity. This film, for me, perfects nearly everything I find weak about the show. Splitting it into two films was a brilliant idea, as I'm now wildly invested in the characters, and I found the world completely immersive.

Jon Chu is an incredibly detailed director, as displayed in Crazy Rich Asians and In The Heights, but this film is on a level beyond those two.

It’ll have a nice first week, but most of the reviewswill be tepid (save for the two leads’ performances) and it will be overshadowed by MOANA 2 come Turkey Day.

Maybe she wants to... PRODUCE? LOL. There are lots of incentives for producing, and Hudson has shown she wants to try as many things as possible.

Would Heather Headley Have Won the Tony if She Had Opened in THE COLOR PURPLE?

Would her triumphant return to Broadway have been enough to beat Renée Elise Goldsberry, or was Hamilton too much of an unstoppable force that year, with only Cynthia Erivo able to prevent a sweep of the acting categories?

I don't usually post hypothetical questions like this, but I'm curious to hear people's thoughts.
