I had planned on seeing this. Now, I will NOT. Support of T is a bridge too far for me.

MCNEAL Reviews Nov 8
2024, 09:02:31 AM
I saw it last night. It seems that there were too many unresolved plots crammed into 90 minutes. It started with a premise that I thought was intriguing but it went nowhere. It seemed the play just stopped without much of an ending.

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES musical will have pre-Bway tryout this summer in Boston Aug 4
2024, 09:16:18 AM
I saw it yesterday—enjoyed it but didn't love it. They have plenty of time to work on it. I felt it was a bit bloated. The "Louis XIV" stuff just didn't work for me and they could cut a few songs. I think it could become a success. On a positive note, KC was great and the entire cast is giving it their best. The sets are quite good and show moves along at a brisk pace. I have not seen the documentary so I can't judge the characters. The audience

Sondheim/Ives HERE WE ARE @ The Shed Sep 29

A question to those who saw it last night. I'm going in November. Should one watch the films first? Would it matter to have that knowledge??? I see that they are available on Amazon Prime for a small fee. Not sure if I should...

Just back from the matinee. The theater seemed to be full from what I could see. TDF tix were in the balcony which was also full. Audra, as usual was sensational! Don't miss this — she is simply amazing.

LEOPOLDSTADT Previews Oct 2
2022, 09:48:42 AM
I was there last night for the last preview. I was very moved and thought it was quite good. I do agree that we didn't get to know the characters very well for the most part. I wonder what it was like in London. It seems that it could have benefited by having an intermission and running the full original 3 hours. It actually went by rather quickly although, I too wasn't always sure who was who. Nonetheless, it's worth seeing and will probably be a major contender for a Tony.

She was amazing! Everything about her performance worked so much better than CZJ. When she sang Send in the Clowns, the audience was so mesmerized, that you could hear a pin drop. One of her best performances. I wish it was recorded. I did hear her sing it again at a concert at Symphony Hall in Boston a few years ago.

I've been a fan ever since I saw her in "Rags" in it's Boston tryout. Check out the YouTube video of her singing the title song from the Tonys. She is also in that same telecast in "Les Miz." as Cosette. "Rags" didn't last long (an understatement) and she went right into "Les Miz." I also met her after a concert in Provincetown and she was friendly, charming and completely down to earth. She should have a Tony by now!
