Laura Osnes Didn’t Get the Covid Shot. It Ended Her Broadway Career

HaveAGoodShow said: "For me, the details of her Guild Hall firing have gotten a bit muddled over the years. I’m not dismissing the seriousness of any of it -- but I do have another, separate question about Laura:

I’ve heard rumblings that she and her husband belonged to a New York City church with openly anti-LGBTQIA+ views. Can anyone confirm whether that’s accurate?

If that’s true, to me personally, that feels like a far bigger concern

THE HUNGER GAMES On Stage announcement on Thursday

This is going to require a massive cast especially in London with the need to have multiple children for the same role. I don't think using adult actors would have the same impact especially for characters like Rue and Primrose.

For reference -I loathed The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter and the Starcatcher, Spamalot, etc. I'm trying to keep an open mind with this one. For the $39 flash sale price, I figured it was worth checking outregardless, but I'd love to hear from folks who have seen this."

I was there. For the first act anyway. Other than a couple little line stumbles, she was fantastic and has a great voice. I'm not American or familiar with the Bakkers so I don't know how accurate her portrayal was, but she is definitely talented.

I haven't seen Katie but there's no way her performance is that much better that it would save this show. Desp

SUFFS Opening Night Critics' Reviews

I have front row tickets for the matinee. Goes without saying that I hoped it was going to be a very different experience than it's about to be.

More or less boring than New York, New York?

Smash still needs a theatre. The Motive and the Cue was also eyeing a transfer as well.

Considering America's gun problem, is ANNIE GET YOUR GUN incapable of being revived responsibly?

Should Sweeney Todd no longer be performed?

I don't believe in handgun ownership. But I think the bigger issue is lack of support for people with mental health issues.
"

I can pretty much guarantee that the little tale you just told never happened. Yes, yes, it’s all about mental health issues, blah, blah, blah. You got all the right wing talking points. Take a bow. By the way, the Rethuglicans blocked mental health support in schools not long ago.
"

That actually did happen, in Vancouver, it wasn't just a story.

MCC's 'SH!T. MEET. FAN.' Cast Announced

Just got a ticket as well. I'm not super interested based on description but the cast and price are good and it has Thursday matinees. In case anyone else is looking for a weird time slot to fill.

You mean The Picture of Dorian Gray.

I think Smash has been announced as well but no theatre.

That's just how they announce understudies. The emojis + the quote mean that the first understudy for Ewen Montagu is going on tomorrow (Tuesday) matinee.
