Shoshana just posted on her Instagram story that she debuted a new song for Lucy tonight. Anyone have any insight?

I thought it worked better at the Daryl Roth than at the St. James, and I sorely missed Russell Daniels as Ruth and Carrie St. Louis as Rose, and I liked the Iceberg better downtown too. The design and use of neon isoverwhelming and garish to look at sometimes.

I also thought the sound was pretty muddy on Broadway, which is a pr

Caught this last night via lottery win and got to see both Austin and Phoenix. My worries of missing both leads were relieved as soon as the show started. I thought both hit on all cylinders.

Overall, I really enjoyed this. The score is strong and set it used in a very creative way. I am more cold on the book. The first act was nearly perfect but act two got slow in too many places.

Not that anyone cares, but seeing both this and Lost Boys in the same day really left

DEATH OF A SALESMAN 2026 Previews

Well said, Jordan. I haven’t been able to gather my thoughts on this since I saw it a few nights ago. It is truly that good.

One piece that I will add: I thought the lighting design here was brilliant. This is the first production of “Salesman” that I have seen and the lighting differences between time periods really set the stage well for me.

This truly deserves every ounce of praise it has gotten and will get.

Just got out of the matinee and I don’t have much to add that hasn’t been said already. When this works, it works really well. They still need to trim some fat and 100% agree that “Be Kind, Rewind” should be next on the chopping block. Almost wonder if they could prelude “Wild” there instead with different lyrics and cut the length in half.

Ben Platt & Rachel Zegler - THE LAST FIVE YEARS (NYC/LA)

Well, that was insane. I have a hard time believing the score could sound any better than what I just heard. Getting to hear those orchestrations, especially accompanied/directed by the show’s own writer, was a  transcendent experience.

Once again, I guess I am in the minority. Looking forward to this. Mostly because JRB will be directing and conducting.

I mean can you all take your victory lap now?

It is no secret I liked the show (and obviously am in the small, small minority on that), but do we have to keep dancing on the grave?

I feel like this entire thread proves the entire point of Arden’s post (as well as others on the cast/creative team).

I think most of the criticisms of the show are valid and wouldn’t challenge those at all. I just find it extremely strange that t

ART has recouped on Broadway
 Dec 15 2025, 02:57:15 PM

I’m sure someone has already asked and answered this, but do shows announce recoupment as soon as it happens?

Just curious on if this means that last week was the week where they hit recoupment, which would only leave this week of performances as “profit.” I know recoupment is a win in any case these days, but seems crazy to think that they barely made it back with this cast and hardly will make the inventors money on top of their investment.

Are There More New Musicals Coming?

Anyone have any info on Millions since their out of town run? I know it had rough word of mouth, but any Adam Guettel musical has my interest.

Anyone else have sound issues in the loge? We sat in the last row this past weekend and the sound felt so muted and honestly distracted from the show. I’ve never had volume be an issue for me at any show so was taken aback.

Other than that (somewhat major) issue for us, I really struggled to enjoy this until the final 10 minutes when it hit like a ton of bricks. I’ve never seen a production of Ragtime live before, but have listened to th

I was totally ready to hate this show (I thought Redwood was a flaming pile of dog mess) but I wouldn't miss Sherie on Broadway for anything. With that being said...

I... actually kind of liked this show.

I saw this yesterday afternoon and have been searching for what to say. As I’ve previously posted, I am a sucker for a Schwartz score so even the bad word of mouth and reviews couldn’t keep me away.

At the end of the day, I really enjoyed the show. The first act really sucked me in and I personally really enjoyed the opening number, The Ballad of the Timeshare King, and Pretty Wins. The second act is not as successful as I could mostly agree that the show

Ariana DeBose to lead THE BAKER'S WIFE at Classic Stage Company
 Nov 22 2025, 11:09:55 PM

Really loved this. Dated at times? Yes. But the immersive experience kept me pulled in. While I could agree with the lack of material for the baker’s wife in act two, I actually enjoyed getting more from the other townspeople. Well-crafted show that is tightly directed. Not sure it would do great uptown, but would love to get a definitive cast recording made at the very least!
