Other than the Cole rumors, have any other names been mentioned?
It’s almost nine months out. We likely won’t know until the end of this year at the earliest.
I think the Cole rumor is only borne out of the fact they are the hot commodity right now and they have the association with Pinkleton. They could easily be a good Riff Raff.
Honestly, I want Cameron Loyal as Rocky more than anything else. He plays queer very well and is essentially a perfect Charles Atlas creation.

Its a bit on the nose but Adam Lambert would do a great Frank
i dont know if he would be interested. Years back he was approached re Hedwig and turned it down

If we want to go with IRL couples that actually fit in the world of the show (no shade MHE...), I feel like Kyle Selig and Erika Henningsen would be a super cute Brad and Janet duo.

He was on a world tour with Queen at the same time the production was running, so it was probably more of a major scheduling conflict than a lack of interest.
So many of the suggestions for Frank (not just in this thread but others) where I think said person is much more suited for Riff. Years ago all I wanted was for Cheyenne Jackson to play Frank and I still would.
I just know that whoever is cast in this show, there’s going to be outrage over (one way or another) and people will demand it be recast. The first time I heard that this was even a possibility I got filled with so much excitement followed by the dread, knowing what would follow with all of that. For a show that celebrates literally anyone being anything they dream of being, I just know deep down people will demand only certain folks be allowed to play a murderous transsexual alien.
Sam Pinkleton is almost certainly going to cast outside the box, so I expect there will be a healthy mix of talent from all reaches of NY showbiz. Not to dredge up the previous thread on this, but I do want to clarify my thoughts: I personally don’t care about the sexuality or gender presentation of whoever is cast in Rocky Horror. But I do know that Pinkleton is a director who goes out of their way to cast queer people in his work, and it doesn’t get much queerer than Rocky Horror. Identity politics aside, I’m excited to see who we get.

If he can get Barry Bostwick as the Narrator, that would be the most amazing thing maybe to ever happen on Broadway.

That would be a god-tier casting that could line Roundabout’s pockets in a manner not seen since they brought back CABARET.
Honestly, this whole production has a chance to make Roundabout A LOT of money, but they have to play it correctly.
My dream casting for years has been Bill Hader as the Narrator, Eddie and Doctor Scott. However, knowing what we know now about Hader's very public struggle with stage fright and mental health, a Rocky Horror audience participation scenario might literally kill him.
Lots of good ideas here. Cheyenne Jackson would make a GREAT Frank and he did recently star in Pinkleton's La Cage. I'd pay to see it! There was an (unsubstantiated) rumor in past threads that someone at Roundabout wanted a Black Frank. And should that be the case, I think Sydney James Harcourt would be divine. Honestly there are SO many queer Broadway actors who could nail this, so as long as they don't go down the (imo far fetched and ridiculous rumor) route of Timothee Chalamet, I'll be happy.
Other ideal candidates:
Riff Raff: Adam Lambert
Narrator: Barry Bostwick (inspired idea and now I can't picture anyone else)
Magenta: Amber Gray
Columbia: McKenzie Kurtz
Rocky: John Riddle or Timothy Hughes (I know they aren't the usual look, aka not blonde, but let's get a talented sexy hairy dude in the classic gold speedo!)
Brad: Matt Doyle, or Conrad Ricamora, or Jonathan Groff
Janet: Andrea Macasaet, or actually McKenzie Kurtz could nail this role too
I'd love to see this cast not packed with traditional Broadway casting. Let's see some weirdos and downtown/Brooklyn energy here.

That part. Make it weird. If Mark Mauriello wasn't in London with Oscar at the Crown (but who knows, this production is far off. It could work) I'd love to see him do Riff Raff. He played him for Fagtasia's production a couple years ago.

He’s doing the film’s 50th anniversary shadow cast tour with Patricia and Nell. Stranger things have happened!
A friend who works in film/TV casting saw that Billy Porter is being considered for Frank for this Broadway revival which would affect potential upcoming projects he’s considering as well.

Not a soul in this world wants this and I hope that literally any of those people in the room come to their senses. Billy Porter has the sex appeal of a thumb.

Oh fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuundus
Honestly, I’d rather have Orville Peck or Mason Alexander Park as Frank if we’re going to pick at former Emcees. I expect Pinkleton to take some big swings on this and, even with the firmest of hands, I don’t think he is going to be able to rein in Porter from doing whatever he damn well pleases.
I'm still cagey on his ability to do a new interpretation of a musical after his flop iteration of La Cage...
Just bring Rob Fowler over. He’s amazing as Frank and made it his own. Other wise give us Adam Lambert. Cole said he wants to play straight he can be Brad

Wasn’t there a workshop of this? Wasn’t Alaska playing Frank? Am I crazy? I mean, that’s pretty perfect. Done and done.

Lea Delaria, Taylor Mac, Joey Arias!

Delaria was Eddie/Dr. Scott in the 2000 revival.
I didn’t see the production and I generally like DeLaria, but I really dislike her on that cast album.
When people talk about Cole Escola and Taylor Mac, I usually think of Julio Torres as well. There's not really a role for them unless it was as the most unsettlingly awkward Narrator ever... but I'd kinda enjoy that?
