Musical adaptation of THE LOST BOYS. Feb 5 2026, 09:35:55 AM
On paper this feels like it should be right up my alley. I loved Arden's direction in Parade, I loved Ali in Tommy, and I think the source material is good.... But I'm reeeeeeeeeeeally concerned the songs aren't going to do anything. They're going to rely on the book to tell the whole story and the songs are just going to be generic filler that barely and vaguely "comments" on what's going on. Hoping I'm proven wrong though! I'd love for this to be t

Rocky Horror Show Revival Cast Jan 29 2026, 11:19:54 AM
For the folks underwhelmed by the casting, what would have excited you? I'm a big fan of the show and my initial reaction to the cast line up is that it looks pretty stellar. For me, in terms of vibes it's through the roof... As long as everybody is up to the task vocally, I think we're in for a real treat.

Have you ever seen a show before it goes to Broadway and feel… Jan 21 2026, 09:14:20 AM
I saw Six and Death Becomes Her prior to their Broadway runs. Loved them both, but when I'm in NYC the vibe is always that time is limited - so I'm always going to see something new.

New Merrily Pro-Shot reviews Dec 5 2025, 09:46:45 AM
Maybe, because a traditional pro-shot of this exact production already exists with the London cast, they wanted a way to differentiate this version. So, they opted for a more "this is a real film" approach…

Bizarre if they'd take a hiatus during the winter holiday peak.
Also loving the Thursday matinees!!"
UPDATE: Those holiday weeks are now available so I'm thinking either a glitch or just holding them back until the last few hours

New version of TABOO to feature book by Jack Holden May 19 2025, 04:38:03 PM
I may be in the minority, but I think the original London book was like 80% there. Maybe just tighten up and freshen up that one instead of starting from scratch (again) ... I can certainly see this playing out as an immersive version that takes place at the actual club.

Tony Awards Race Mar 6 2025, 10:28:22 AM
I just wrapped an NYC trip and was lucky enough to see Audra (Friday night) and Nicole (Saturday night).
Both thrilling performances and both certainly Tony worthy. For me though, it’s Audra’s win by a mile.
Audra brings more range and depth. Her performance is big/theatrical, but it’s also grounded and real. Between her and her director, they crafted an arc that really slowly and subtly went from tough/brassy stage mom…to the audience realiz

What is the BEST Show You Have Seen on Broadway May 24 2024, 09:32:08 AM
I’m confident folks who saw the original would disagree, but the best thing I’ve seen is the 2011 revival of Follies.
Honorable Mentions: The Diane Paulus revivals of Hair and Pippin
And the best non-revival I’ve seen: Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812.
Best Play: Boys in the Band (201

Most Misguided: Harmony
Most Over-Rated: Addams Family (which admittedly, wasn’t that highly rated in the first place)…

Hilty & Simard to lead DEATH BECOMES HER in Chicago spring 2024 May 6 2024, 03:29:54 PM
I saw this Friday night and am definitely on team "LOVED IT" ... Very funny book with jokes coming a mile a minute and all of them landing. The audience was eating it up. I agree with what most have said in regards to Williams sounding and looking great but not landing the camp of it all. I think the songs do the trick, but none were so catchy that they stay with you on first listen. Would I still buy the cast album? (yes. 100%).
The vibe is very niche (and by

Hilty & Simard to lead DEATH BECOMES HER in Chicago spring 2024 Mar 29 2024, 11:15:39 AM
I'm seeing this next month and can not wait! I saw Simard in Disaster and she was fall out of your seat funny.
Also just caught there's a couple of SYTYCD alums in the ensemble, so that's fun for those of us who are fans of that show.
