Between Ana here and Rachel Dratch doing High Spirits and RHS, I’m absolutely here for the 90s SNL girlies taking on Broadway!
Also, MAX “THIGHS OF BROADWAY” CLAYTON, AS DANNY BAILEY. 🥵

Shame that Javier Muñoz and Emily Skinner are not continuing with the show from DC, but Gasteyer and Hernandez are good upgrades.

Good for Clayton for finally getting to originate a principal role!

Oh goodness. I hope September L. Davis is ok with this.

Im not into this. Any of it. The show and cast just seem like musical theater “geeks” doing some stupid musical comedy.

Interesting that they haven't announced who's playing Reverend Layton / Leprechaun and Countess von Blerkom yet, too. Kevin Del Aguila and Angel Reda played those roles in DC.

Is that not just the plot of the show?

I wanted to love this but I despised it in DC. Probably my least favorite thing I’ve seen in the last few years. Give me a glass of wine and Ana Gasteyer may be enough to get me there last minute

They should have kept them both on because none of these names sell tickets, unfortunately. If they have the budget for a massive star, now is the time to announce it.

Sorry -- but as talented as they are, this entire cast combined will sell approximately 18 tickets -- and yet they STILL refuse to offer any meaningful discount during previews. Did they learn nothing from SHUCKED? I'll be waiting for TDF/Rush/Lottery.

Interesting since their first previous is more than halfway sold out, and people tend to buy tickets closer to the performances nowadways. You don't have to buy a ticket for this limited run- it will still bring in audiences

Pretty much EVERY first preview is "sold out". The producers hold back most of the seats for co-producers, creative team, friends and family, etc.

It's insane to imply the only reason why a first preview would have a lot of tickets sold is due to the production holding seats. Check out the first preview of Beaches. Tons of availability.

Ticketmaster is supposedly offering 25% off tickets for this show as well as discounts to five other shows, but I can’t find any discount for any show for any day.

So, this was spoken about in the discount thread but producers seem to be up to something regarding discount codes, which are rare these days. Sometimes, the seats you select are actually cheaper without it. I called Ticketmaster and asked about the 25%. They said "on select days, select times, and select months, select tickets are discounted". I asked which performances and they told me they couldn't tell me. I don't think it was in their script they were reading to me? Looking at the first month, I see no difference in pricing. It's incredibly strange and seems deceiving.
The only actual discount on this show is on TodayTix for previews, but TodayTix can be a little shady at times. I just miss going on to Theatermania and looking at the 2 pages of discounted Broadway shows.

Yeah, I mentioned it there also. Seems really shady. The people I talked to at Ticketmaster had no information on it. Completely useless. I guess I was hoping someone here might have a better answer. ![]()
I wish I had a lawyer I could get involved because that is some serious false advertising.

I mentioned on the other thread that this seems like something a regulator should be looking into. Perhaps, when we encounter this phenomenon, we should report it to the NYC Dept. of Consumer and Worker Protection here. I don't know how effective this might be, but it's cheaper than hiring a lawyer. ![]()
