Numbers ping-ponged back up pretty much to where they were before the July 4th holiday - maybe a touch lower than that.

Last week we said happy trails to DOG DAY AFTERNOON, Laurie Hernandez, Ben Levi Ross, and Shaina Taub.

Keep in mind that this week was going to be the end of TITANIQUE's run, before the extension to 9/20 kicked in.

Not great numbers at all for Tracee Ellis Ross as she began her run for the final weeks of EVERY BRILLIANT THING.

In regards to Every Brilliant Thing, it looks like the house was pretty full, but that average ticket price is low. Did they offer heavy discounts? I must have missed her announced casting because i was so curious who was on after Mariska departed and wondered if it was closing.

Solid bounce back week for & Juliet, Just in Time, Gatsby, Schmigadoon and The Outsiders.

Great week for The Lost Boys.

Buena Vista is losing steam quickly. Two Strangers also seems destined to be done by Labor Day but probably even before if I had to guess.

I mentioned this last week but Joe Turner's has quietly had a really great run.

Tracee Ellis Ross does not move tickets like Radcliffe or Hargitay, no surprise.

Solid first week for the Stalter administration at Oh Mary.

That Buena Vista number hurts my heart. One of my favorite shows currently running.

Very glad to see most shows did better this week than last week's awful showing though.

Death of a Salesman hitting over $2 million/week with only 7 performances is truly insane.  I'm assuming they'll announce recoupment before closing.

Do we know the nut for The Great Gatsby? It's such a huge cast that I'm impressed they've managed to stay open given their grosses over the past couple of months.

I feel like they’ll end up folding in January, no?

I'm seeing this on Saturday. I planned a special trip to NYC just to see it. Needless to say I'm very excited. Anyone know what the air conditioning in the Winter Garden is like? Should I be prepared for long sleeves?

I am happy for that sizeable increase by Chicago, but very surprised.  In the back of my mind, I am hoping for a return by Robyn Hurder as Velma.

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

The lead producer, Chunsoo Shin(?), is a Korean gazillionaire. This is a show that long past the realm of when it would’ve been sensible to close. He has the money to keep it open and that’s what also abets the other productions around the world

It's aptly named, especially if you're in the mezzanine. Definitely bring a long sleeve layer.

At one point it was right around $1 million, and they haven't seen that since April. He must just be pouring money into it, but I don't really know why and I don't think the fall is going to be any better for the show. So it could close Labor Day, it could limp along til January, it's all on the whims of this producer. I doubt Shubert has a show that's DYING to play the Broadway.

Oh I don't think there's a chance in hell that Rudin will announce recoupment. That would just fan the flame of the internet people who are mad about his return.

All those Tonys + investors making their money back will be enough of a win. And this production may have helped him regain some trust from investors (and artists) after having so many financial flops before his downfall. Barry Diller is 84, he won't be around forever to fund Rudin's projects.

Great Gatsby could be trying to find a name to put into the show.  It could be worth staying open if they make a killing during the holidays or if a big name comes in.  The good weeks pay off the bad ones.

Anticipating a few shows announcing Labor Day closing dates soon.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Thank God for quality productions like Salesman and Ragtime. Thank God for Lincoln Center and Scott Rudin for producing quality.  Those are Broadway quality shows, not off-Broadway shows being produced on the main stem where they do not belong.

It's cool that you're trying to give Edso a run for his money on being the Head Gloom & Doom poster.
