Marla Mindelle Awards Season Campaign Mar 5 2023, 05:16:38 PM
As we approach the Spring awards season, I am really hoping we are able to see some recognition for Marla Mindelle’s performance and creative work on Titanique. This woman is a star and if there’s any voters secretly on here (doubtful) but if there are, can we seriously get some love for Marla. I mean…what she has done with Titanique is going to be opening doors for new musical comedy in this industry and it’s so exciting. Just my two cents.

Where is Sherie Rene Scott? Mar 4 2023, 07:13:35 PM
Being trying to find more clips from Everyday Rapture and just reminding myself how brilliant this woman is. Can we get her in a Broadway musical again soon? It's long overdue.

Sorkin and Sher to revive CAMELOT for Broadway Feb 2 2023, 06:03:47 PM
I really hope people get a better attitude about this production. I've just seen a lot of people on TikTok who are throwing this production down already and it literally hasn't even had a first preview yet. I for one am glad we have a place like Lincoln Center that is interested in revising/reviving old works to make them accessible to today's audiences. Isn't that what this community has been wanting? To make theatre more accessible and relevant to the world we live in? Stori

Disney’s HERCULES - News & Discussion Thread Jan 31 2023, 05:19:38 PM
Would really love to see some updated poster artwork for this production. There are so many ways they could make this pop better, and I feel the current artwork they are using is just so similar to the film's logo. I know it's a pre-Broadway production, but I feel like the Public Theater's artwork made the show feel fresh and exciting. I also know the Public's artwork is stylistically similar from show to show. It's just not leaving me feeling excited, personally. I'm

KIMBERLY AKIMBO Previews Nov 5 2022, 10:40:54 PM
I was at the preview on Wednesday night and can't stop thinking about it. It's really quite moving and I think Jeanine Tesori has a gorgeous score on her hands. Victoria Clark's performance is so brilliant, especially with her second act material. The "Ghost of the Girl I'll Never Be" song broke me. Bonnie Milligan is fantastic and I'm so excited to see where awards season will take her. It's a smaller show but I really think this is a very important piece of

Sorkin and Sher to revive CAMELOT for Broadway Oct 16 2022, 03:53:16 AM
Equity doesn’t need to approve the concept. What happens, which is shifty, is that if “moving scenery in character” is essential to the director’s concept, it is approved by Equity and the actors are forced to do the scenery. I think there might be something built into certain contacts for people who are in the cast but are moving scenery outside of their character’s part, like doing scene shifts, but I think it’s all a negotiation. MEAN GIRLS for example d

Ashley Park in CAMELOT Jul 26 2022, 12:56:04 AM
This might not even be new tea, but I was scrolling through my screenshots awhile back and I saw one from Ashley Park. Now, I did some digging in the photo and it appears that it might have been an early reading of Camelot. To my eyes it looks like Bartlet Sher and Aaron Sorkin are there as well as possibly the Lincoln Center logo. As well in the script part, it looks like a scene between Arthur and Guinevere? If that is true, Ashley Park would be brilliant.

Wicked Movie Seeks New Director Feb 2 2021, 12:14:43 AM
Considering WICKED did start out as a proposed film, I wonder if they already have a rough draft of how they want the movie to be? I would really love to see as little CGI and green screen as possible in this movie. I watched THE WIZARD OF OZ movie over the holiday and became so enamored with how much detail was put into the scenery and studio space. Obviously I know things are going to need some computer technology to help administrate the magic...but I would love to see this made into an EP

Original Broadway INTO THE WOODS - Body Microphones? Feb 1 2021, 05:21:41 PM
Can anyone on here confirm the use of body microphones in the original production of Into the Woods? I have always wondered if they were used or not considering the nature of the show.
Additionally, in the PBS broadcast of the original production, there is a moment where Bernadette Peters goes out onto the box seat of the Martin Beck Theatre (now Al Hirschfeld). Can anyone confirm that particular moment of the Witch in the audience box seat was something that happened for all per

The MILLIE Effect Dec 30 2020, 01:14:14 AM
Hey friends. So I've been thinking a lot about what Broadway might be like after COVID-19 has subsided enough to allow for live performance and in-person viewing again. After the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001 left a uncertain future for the longevity of tourism in NYC, especially Broadway, it has been written about throughout the years that one of the shows that "saved" Broadway was THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE. Obviously, MILLIE went on to win the Tony for Best Musical

Best Broadway Wigs Dec 28 2020, 02:48:13 AM
I still believe that Kelli O'Hara's wig in the revival of KING AND I is one of the most breathtaking wigs I've seen on Broadway. I also think that her wig in BRIDGES and KISS ME, KATE are insanely realistic and beautiful.
I also think Lesli Rodriguez Kritzer's wig in BEETLEJUICE is everything.
What are everyone's favorite wigs?

Did Meryl see THE PROM on Broadway? Dec 28 2020, 01:30:42 AM
Just curious because I know she mentions the original cast and Beth Leavel in an interview, and I am just curious to know if there are any sources that heard she actually went to the show.

Dream Cast - DROP DEAD GORGEOUS Musical Dec 25 2020, 02:17:19 AM
Got nothing better to do, but let's dream cast it.
Stephanie J Block as the evil Pageant director (Kirstie Alley) would be brilliant.
Jennifer Simard as the Allison Janney character. TONY AWARD.
Lauren Patten as Brittany Murphy's character.
Also I would NOT want it to be modernized with iPhones and social media, I want it to be 1995! It would be so much better for the story with out all the distractions of shoe-horning in "modern

NBC will present THE GRINCH musical this December starring Morrison Dec 11 2020, 02:19:35 AM
I don't want to bag on Matthew Morrison, partially because his performance is genuinely not worth dissecting. He isn't the Grinch. I am all for the power of transformation with any actor, but this wasn't a test of transformation. Because our modern culture has mainly seen the character of the Grinch through the live-action Jim Carrey version, WHICH IS ICONIC, most audiences associate the character of the Grinch as a "more comedic and smarmy Scrooge". The Grinch story is
