Relatives in Musicals

I remember seeing the Mueller girls in the chorus of Oliver together at Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre in Illinois. I think their father may have also been in that production. They also appeared as Adelaide and Sarah in Guys and Dolls there together.

Hello Dolly starring Carolee Carmello

Oct 7, 2019 — 9:56:08 AM

Saw Carolee Saturday matinee in St. Louis. As reported, she is absolutely fabulous. John Bolton is a good Horace and Analisa has really grown in the role since I saw her in Chicago. I looked at tickets for Sunday and the Fox ticket site said there were 746 tickets left for the matinee and over 1,000 for the evening! Of course, there was some major sportball thing going on too. Got to chat a bit with John and Carolee at the stage door.

Hello, Dolly! Tour reviews.

Sad that he doesn't seem likely to stay for year 2; I'd love to see him opposite Carolee!"Oh no! I thought it had been confirmed he was staying with Carolee. Saw him with Jessica Sheridan in the Chicago stop and he was just perfect.

We've seen the "cross between Otis Redding,Barry Whiteand Wolfman Jack" (Ashman's words) enough."Saw an excellent in-the-round production at the Marriott Theatre north of Chicago with the fabulous E. Faye Butler as Audrey II - it worked beautifully. And the plant came down from the flies and rotated 360 degrees - those "eaten" crawled up through the stalk into the flies to escape.

Anthony Warlow to play Sweeney Todd in Australia

Australian radio programme featuring Anthony Warlow singing a bit of My Friends. Also a good discussion of Sondheim and the productions of Sweeney and Night Music in Melbourne.https://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/the-stage-show/sondheims-musical-reinventions-return-to-the-stage/11176418?fbclid=IwAR0d0Cz0tb34XiZxkJchp4IGWl6SuTcqd1bK_wGhRXvdiFvBLnFcVoeIzOA

If so we may take a trip there, but I see no mention of them there......."That is the Mary Zimmerman-helmed production for the Goodman Theatre. No connection to the Jackman production.

What show have you seen the most times?

Nov 12, 2018 — 11:28:19 AM

I think it's a tie between Phantom and the new Dolly 6 times each (NY and tours). Chicago revival is in second place at 5 viewings (London/Chicago/NY/TX).
