Catherine Tate and Scott Karim taking over for Mason Alexander Park and Giles Terera in OH, MARY - West End.

Tate joins on April 27th, Karim joins on March 14th.

Emma Thompson might be my dream British Mary. But I've always heard over the years that she has no interest in doing a run of a full production on stage (though other stars have also said that and changed their minds).

Saunders and French as Mary and Abe but you never know who is playing which until the show starts. 

Cole Escola will reprise the role of Mary on the West End from July 20-August 15

This makes me think they’re gonna record it. Seems to be the trend to bring back the original, do it out of NY and record it like Hadestown and Newsies.

Saw this last week in the UK. 

Catherine was great and so funny in the role. I loved her growly voice at times. There were a couple of moments that I missed when I've seen other Mary's in the role, but overall a very fun evening.

One thing to note... Dino Fetscher in those pants. Holy cow, seeing that was worth the admission.

We thought the same thing. Let them eat cake indeed! 

 

Dawn French is INCREDIBLE but she's 68 and Mary is an incredibly demanding, physically challenging role. I don't know if she could do 8 shows a week of crawling on that desk. 

I would be genuinely shocked if Rob Madge is not being considered for a UK replacement.
