Another great number off the concept album is Elaine Paige doing "If Only". Such a devastatingly gorgeous performance. I also think it's one of ALW's best ballads. It's such a simple melody and orchestration, but it still manages to have some amount of excitement in it.

I agree that the score is pretty great. I much prefer Lippa's score to Lachiusa's, though I think Lachiusa is overall a better composer -- I love many of Lachiusa's scores, while Wild Party is the only Lippa score that I enjoy.

JRB also orchestrated and arranged the full score for Urban Cowboy, and was the music director. So Philly wasn't completely off. You don't need to be so rude over a petty detail.

Andrew Lloyd Webber is a great composer. Dance of the Vampires has a great score, and the Roman Polanski directed production is absolutely thrilling. "if sc he isn't screaming at you, she kind of sucks" It cracks me up when people say she sucks, because she really doesn't. From a singer and musician's standpoint, she's extremely talented and has a killer voice. I never understood the "screaming" argument made against her, either. I've been a fan since before Wicked and have always found her voice to be very powerful; the timbre of her voice has always given me chills, especially when she's in the Bb5 to Eb5 range.

She did quite a few dates in the UK a few years ago, including 6 or 7 shows in London at the Apollo, so it seems she has enough of a following in the UK to support her touring there.

I'm not sure why there's a perception that the performance hasn't been well received. Other than the usual few detractors, the responses on twitter have been the typical positive comments about Idina. I thought the performance was a lot of fun. It didn't necessarily allow her to show of the belt that people have come to expect, but it was nice.
