Company.
Les Miserables, especially with the recent revival where D-R-V murdered that song. Boy did I cheer inwardly when Fantine died.

R & H theme here:
Oklahoma!
South Pacific
Carousel
love most of the music for all these shows, the books are another story entirely.
And the same goes for Steel Pier.

For me, it's Follies. Top-to-bottom my favorite score, but the book is so inferior.

Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, Mama Mia, or anything else where they just make up a plot to fit the songs into it.
"In the rain, the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
And all I see is him and me forever and forever."

Wicked. The score is amazing, but the theme is repetative.

Hate is such a strong word...
One that comes to mind for me is Chess...although I have always LOVED the score, the book has always been what has held it back IMHO.

Or as I like to call it, "The CD Was Better":
Kiss of the Spider Woman
All Shook Up
Camelot
The second act of Sunday in the Park With George
And I'll probably add to the list...The Pirate Queen.

I certainly don't hate CITY OF ANGELS or A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, but I have absolutely no desire to sit through either one again.
They are, however, two of my most-played OBC CDs.

Atrocious? If we're talking about the Broadway version. Something less demeaning but still negative if referring to other versions.

I LOVED the OLC of MARY POPPINS, but the show was a big befuddled mess.
