What is "THE WOMAN IN WHITE"..is it a revival? Have people seen trial runs of it? I've honestly never heard of it.
woah..sorry so many posts. Also, why is it such a difficult set to load in?
Please let it close soon. Someone needs to put this production out of its misery. The only reason to see it is if you're interested in soft-core porn during "Matchmaker, Matchmaker". After that, just leave. It's painful to watch.
There is one thing I have noticed that odd. My mom decided she wanted to go to Fiddler to see Harvey(she saw Molina already) and bring my sister who never saw the show, the movie anything, so of course I have the job of finding cheaper tickets, but I haven't been able to find a Fiddler discount anywhere! Am I missing something?
I told my mom at this point they could def get them at TKTS, but they wanna go a sat in July...oh well just think it's weird with attendance figures that I can't find a discount code.

Soft core Porn during Matchmaker? What does that mean? I am trying to imagine that.....

The 'soft core' refers to the spongebathing the girls do, instead of dancing with the brooms like in every other version. It wasn't really dirty, just kind of. . .weird.
As far as closing, they're offering tix until October, so apparently they think they'll be around until then.
Yes, during Matchmaker, the girls wash each other's breasts...err...bare shoulders...in the middle of the song for no apparent reason aside from the fact that David Leveaux is a horrible director. It's very strange.
Sadly offering tix till October doesn't mean much, la cage is still selling tickets till september and it has a closing date

"Woman in White" is the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical (lyrics by David Zippel), which is currently playing in the West End.

It also goes against the song's musicality: the mid-tempo waltz demands a certain amount of movement, and to have the daughters just wash each other's shoulders just smothers that great rhythm.
The song's musicality - good point, BlueWizard. So does casting Harvey. I'm getting the feeling that the beauty of the music itself is becoming less and less appreciated by directors and producers. The discipline of musicianship, except possibly in the dance, is not respected anymore. Maybe it wouldn't matter except that I believe the audience is being cheated in the long run.

Just saw it on Friday...it was simply phenomenal, we saw five shows and it was most of my groups favorite--over Rent, Piazza, Golden Pond, and DRS. How is this show not filling up? Everyone seemed to absolutely love it! It made me laugh so hard and cry also and simply gasp sometimes.
