I have to say I've never felt ripped off. Maybe that's because I rarely ever pay full price to see shows or I sit in the cheap seats. I think the last time I paid a lot of money to see a show was for the performance the day after Hairspray's opening night. The original cast (of course) was there and still on an opening night high. Worth every penny. I have seen shows that I absolutely hated but I wouldn't apply "ripped off" to the way I felt. I paid for a night of theater not knowing if I would enjoy it or not. That's the risk you take. It's a risk worth taking for me.

I would say Peggy Sue Got Married or Aida, but Ruthie and Sherie (respectively) made up for the cost of the ticket. The only reason I don't consider Thou Shalt Not a ripoff is because I learned so much from watching such a huge flop.
I LOVED the Aspects of Love tour. It was beautifully staged and performed. I was moved to tears and the audience started its ovation before Rose could finish her last note during Anything But Lonely. It was one of my favorite experiences in musical theatre.

When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
I felt ripped off after seeing: 42nd Street, Bombay Dreams, Brooklyn the Musical, and Mama Mia. Thank goodness I got discount tickets for all these shows or I would've been VERY angry. As for the people who felt they got ripped off after seeing Wicked - what shows DID you like?
