I'm absolutely loving this recording. I love that they included some dialogue. Danny Troob's orchestrations sound incredible as always.

My only real gripe is that they didn't record the opening dialogue in the prologue and maybe a little more dialogue in the opening number over all. There's so much that happens in the first ten minutes of the show, mostly exposition, but it would have helped the listener at home to follow along. The opening eulogy bit would have helped to bookend the recording as it does the show. To reduce that ten minute opening to 5:26 is a bit of a shame BUT I think it only bothers me because I love the show so much and just wanted them to record everything which is an unrealistic expectation. They recorded so much elsewhere it's really not fair to complain. They recorded almost every little reprise and the sound quality is excellent. It truly sounds exceptional. I know not everyone will love it, but I hope people who didn't get to see the show listen to this recording and love what they hear and maybe question why they didn't make more of an effort to see it.

^ Agreed, I would have liked them to have the opening eulogy as well, but it's really the only minor gripe I have. Kelli Barrett and Tam Mutu both sound exceptional.

"Love Finds You" is a standout too. The cast is in great voice and its invigorating to hear a properly mastered studio recording with the orchestra and vocals so carefully blended versus a bootleg or the video from the press event which I was listening to before this.

It's a shame the quality of the press event audio is so poor. It probably dissuaded people (not everyone because Zhivago's numbers were just not great) from seeing the show and contributed to the bad word of mouth.
Anyway, I can't wait for the album to come in the mail.

I remember from the show there being a sweet reprise of Watch the Moon sung in the second act. I didn't hear it on the recording when I listened through today, but admittedly I was doing other stuff while listening. Did anyone catch where/if it is in the recording?
