Please tell me this isn't the actual cover art!!! 9/25 release date, not sure if it's been reported on here.Carrie Recording

I like it a lot better than the Gentlemen Prefer Blondes Encores CD artwork.

Yep, that's it. Pretty, huh?

I like the whimsy of it. Better than their awful (off-b'way) ad campaign.

We have been discussing it in the other thread. It's pretty terrible. https://forum.broadwayworld.com/readmessage.php?thread=1049498 Updated On: 8/14/12 at 03:39 PM

Ugly. Looks like a child's drawing.

Why would they not have gone with the artwork original to this production? Anyone actually know?

"Ugly. Looks like a child's drawing." I still don't know why that makes it ugly.

Personally, I think it's an improvement from the show artwork. The opposite of what Light in the Piazza did for their CD.
I don't necessarily think it's terrible, but it looks like if the musical had been made in the seventies, did well and this was the artwork for the vinyl.
The artwork for the flames looks sorta jazzy. Like "Eartha Kitt Sings Songs From Carrie".

In a way, it makes sense. Like, for people who don't know anything about the musical, if they saw that, they would recognize it from the film.
