I believe she Is already attached to the Fun Home transfer, which I assume has a better role for her. Updated On: 11/20/14 at 11:29 AM

yayayay @ everyone who's been a fan of this show over the years!

Here's a pic of the set I took this summer. It's multi-level and doesn't change. Theatre choice is definitely important for The Visit.

In her press release for her American Songbook concert, it says Judy Kuhn will be returning to Fun Home.

Since JCM is planned to be the last Hedwig @the Belasco for 8 weeks starting 1/21...that makes this house available to start "THE VISIT" previews in April for their limited engagement just making the Tony deadline.
Thoughts?

Who said he would be the last one?

I have no inside info, but heard here on the boards two conflicting things. Some thing JCM will close the show while others have said they want to get names to keep it open. I would love the Visit to come in, but is Hedwig ending??

Is it pretty definite Hedwig will close then? I don't see it in the press release.

If you go by what people think and say on here, this was posted 10 days ago:

And that isn't even from the message boards!

No press release announcement of closing but seems it if were to close that JCM would be the last Hedwig as he was the 1st just a thought...

Everyone gets the poetry of him closing it. But what if Adam Lambert or any of the other names bandied about weren't available until March, and JCM is the bridge to keep the show open?

JCM told me himself in the summer that he would go back into the show to close it.....so apart from being hopeful The Visit finds a home somewhere, I don't doubt at all the show will close by April.

'The Visit' is being produced by the Shuberts, NOT the Roundabouts!

Hedwig isnt closing after JCM, there was a press release that said a representative for the show has confirmed someone else will be coming in after John.

While yes, there's poetry in JCM closing Hedwig, it seems clear by the timing he's going back in to get the show through the lean winter months. I would bet if JCM sells well, then they will have someone lined up to follow in the Spring.

And are the Shuberts producing VISIT, or merely have an arrangement with the producers for one of their houses?

Brick-From what I understand, they have an understanding for a Shubert house-not quite sure if they're actually producing it.

You know there's not a "Roundabout" family that runs Roundabout, right?

Has it been confirmed that Cabaret is closing in March? I know they're advertising that way, but they've already extended twice...

Belasco would be too small for The Visit anyway. My guess is The Visit will hold out to see if the Simon or the St. James become available.

Too small? Are you kidding? I think it would be just fine. The ceiling in there is perfect for the set. My guess is next fall Disney will take a Nederlander house for Hunchback. (I doubt they'll cancel the Papermill run.)

If the massive WOMEN ON THE VERGE set worked on the Belasco stage, then THE VISIT's unit set would be fine.

Just read on The Data Lounge-Theater Gossip #147(26)

Chita went to the Shubert offices with Terrence and did the "this show must been seen before we're all dead" lunch, and the Shuberts gave them the Imperial. They know it won't run long and Cameron can then have it back for Saigon -- which also won't run long. Can Can is officially dead. Actors are taking other parts. And Gigi isn't trying to come in this season. Something Rotten wants The St. James.
