You're the acceptable face of the human race.

I love the score.

I'm gonna wear a little black dress when it plays Circle in the Square. I think it should be Christian Borle for Brad and whichever Side Show twin the kids feel so put off by for Janet.

I love the music and the movie so much.

I was watching this several months ago and I couldn't believe how prescient it was.

For someone who seemingly hates the Spice Girls, O'Brien was all too willing to appear in "Spice World."

How hypocritical.

^ That very thought crossed my mind when I read the article.

Doll, appearing in Spice World would make anyone hate the Spice Girls.

My favorite line is Patricia Quinn's reading of "This is Janet! She's a PHENOMENON!"

Haha... I love that, too, how her voice goes so deep.

I also love whenever Rik Mayall sings and dances.

Really, I kind of love everything about this movie except for Jessica Harper's performance. She's a blank from the very beginning.

For me the biggest problem is poor old Cliff DeYoung, he's just embarrassing.

Cliff DeYoung and Jessica Harper are the weakest links. They can't hold a candle to Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon.

I actually like Cliff in the movie. His Brad could be better, but since the character is relegated to silence for much of the movie, I don't mind. His Farley Flavors is excellent.

It's kind of obscure. I was a RHPS fan for a few years before accidentally stumbling on this movie's existence in a movie guide book. But when I did, it felt like a present. Watch it, Robbie!

Is it readily available? I know I can look that up...but I'm in expense reports hell and, frankly, I just want people to do it for me.

I like Harper's strange, blank affect- I think it's very much intentional for the coldly calculated Janet that develops in this one. This story is almost American Horror Story thirty years earlier- Brad and Janet are mostly two different characters with the same names and relation, while original cast members (or surrogates) playing variations on their types from before.

Shock Treatment is such an underrated movie with a really great score. Most of the songs are just as good as Rocky Horror in their own rite.

I actually quite liked Jessica Harper in the movie. She's got a great Karen Carpenter-esque voice. She's great in Phantom of the Paradise.

Jessica Harper has the quintessential Seventies adult contemporary voice- elements of Karen Carpenter, Carole King, little bits of Fleetwood Mac, Linda Ronstadt.
