You should change the title to Way too early 2018 Tony Predictions Thread, it's been that for the past two years and I just like it haha. Harry Potter will win all the play tech categories.

What musicals are rumored to be coming to Broadway? I know "Frozen" and "Prince of Broadway" have been confirmed and "Mean Girls" will most likely come, but what else?

I'm sure "Frozen" will be nominated for Best Musical...unless it pulls a "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." I think revival will be a battle between "Carousel" and "My Fair Lady"

If Sweet Charity transfers, I'm sure Sutton would be a strong contender for the Best Actress Tony.

I'll be interested to see if they try to push one of the Frozen sisters into featured. If Dreamgirls does transfer, it should be a great race between Amber Riley, Jessie Mueller, Sutton Foster, and whoever's in My Fair Lady or Once on This Island.

I am clap-my-hands schoolgirl giddy about Once On This Island. That score is just one big gem. I hope they cast the hell out of it and we get some star-making performances! I'm already excited about the fresh-faced new Ti Moune who will inevitably blow us all away.

The Best Revival Musical will be the one to watch. I'm just hoping there's going to be four good new musicals to nominate... I'm sure it will change but I'm so uninterested in the current list

Rylance is winning Tony #4, also whoever plays Song Liling is getting, at least, a nom for that M. Butterfly revival.

Needless to say that who else plays Regina George will, likely, get a nom, if not a win.

"Sweet Charity" is a lock for Best Revival and Best Leading Actress. Perhaps Emily Padgett or Asmeret Ghebremichael (or both?) for Best Featured Actress, and Joel Perez for Best Featured Actor?

They/them. "Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."

I have to say after such an incredible season this year none of the 2017-18 shows really sound exciting to me. I hope I'm proven wrong and a show comes out of nowhere and takes the city by surprise. There is just such a great wealth of shows now, I hope that trend continues

Do we even know, for sure, if Charity is still transferring? Don't get me wrong, I'd love it to, but I haven't read anything about it in weeks. And Emily is currently in a show that doesn't show signs of closing anytime soon. Would she really peace out of CATCF to go back to Charity, when who knows how long Charity would even be around?

It cracks me up that we're preparing for a season where Tony-eligible characters include Harry and Hermione, Spongebob and Patrick, and Regina and Cady.

Ahh... the theatre.
