Ok, I mentioned this last week, but this week's numbers are even more baffling:
How does Springsteen play to 100% capacity - with a top price of $850, an average price of $400, a $75 digital lottery, and seemingly very high demand - yet still only pull in 80% gross potential?
"Oh look at the time, three more intelligent plays just closed and THE ADDAMS FAMILY made another million dollars" -Jackie Hoffman, Broadway.com Audience Awards
If you were a critic and had to pay for a ticket while every other show gives them to you for free, you wouldn't exactly be in a great mood while writing that review... Which would hurt the legacy of the show.

The Big Names can't afford tickets on their own?"
You think the people who are invited to attend Opening Nights are charged for their tickets?

Opening night performances are invite only, in which all seats are comped, 99.99% of the time.
Big stars get lots of free stuff, this is hardly anything new.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
