Saw West Side Story last night - shocker, not a fan, video SO DISTRACTING but I was sitting behind director Michael Mayer who was there with a friend..... he was OBSESSED. Raving about it as he left, saying how much he loved the rumble and the bodies (male natch) on stage and just being a total fan guuurrrrllll. WEIRD!!!!!!! Did not expect him to be a fan and was kinda disappointed because I love his work usually. What did I miss, Michael!!!???????

Make sure to check to see if there is an existing West Side Story thread before starting a new one, especially about something so pedestrian.

Spoiler: There is! Michael Mayer WEST SIDE STORY FANBOY

Is there a BWW rule that states there should/must be only ONE thread for each show?

There is always abuse thrown around if anyone dares to start another.

A new virus and a new thread; the world won't recover as there is no toilet paper.

What did you miss? Nothing. He liked it, you didn't....just like any other 2 people. And what does liking his work have to do with it?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

You're disappointed in someone for liking a production that you did not?

And joining the board/going out of your way just to write this?

Sadness.
