A cute little production from 2017, hopefully not the last from the "Private Reels" collection.

This was staged at my college right before COVID hit. I never got to see it at the Newhouse, but I thought it was a striking portrait of adolescence. My sister also played travel soccer herself for years, so this play hits pretty close to home having seen many of her games and some of her practices.
Glad that this production was preserved, as I think it was superior to the play itself, which is already showing its age.

Thanks for the link, as it shows all the other shows streaming, like Riverdance (one of my all-time favorites).

I really love this play! I love these girls! I've seen it once professionally in London, one at a college in Ohio and a mixed professional actors with college students at Syracuse Stage, but I've never seen the original production so I'm really looking forward to this!

She was in the original run at The Duke on 42nd, but she wasn’t in the Lincoln Center remount because of Jagged Little Pill.
This is so, so good. Thanks, phantom!

Right. This probably goes without saying, but just because of the way gigi worded their question, I feel compelled to add for clarity: LCT was not yet affiliated with the show during that run with Lauren Patten, which is why they wouldn't have filmed the show when Patten was in the cast.
Just went and watched this and thought it was fabulous, glad they dug this out of the archives for the world to see- it's a very high quality recording.
I thought it had great pacing and loved seeing how between all the discourse and conflict the girls had with one another, each scene ended with them going out to play, eventually returning back to warmups days later, sort of hitting at this universal theme of resilience that was only exacerbated by the death of #14. Samia Finnerty is absolutely fabulous as #7.
Give it a watch while it's free if you haven't seen it, it's an intermission-less 90 minute piece and it breezes by IMO.
