I haven't seen it yet (I will June 6 WHOO!) but I hear the new cast is even stronger than the old one. I love the original cast recording, and I'm sure I'll love this one even more.

Excellent. I saw it yesterday and thought everyone sounded better than the original cast on the CD. But I was disapointed in "Something Just Broke." It really wasn't necessary and didn't enjoy it.
Yes!! I can't wait!

Yes, finally! It's going to be awesome too.
I posted the same thing twice! I don't know how! Oh well; WHOO HOO ASSASSINS!!! (wouldn't it be funny if this is posted twice?)
actually no, not really.
if this is true...then THERE IS A GOD!
I'm really excited about this and how great this show's response has been.
Okay, now if they fu*ck it up, it's not gonna be any good. Obviously it will include "Something Just Broke", but if they decide this time around to not record that ten minute scene with Booth and Oswald then I really see no reason to even make another recording. In addition I think they should include more dialogue this time around just to tie it all up and make it really nice. One CD has 80 minutes of recording time, I don't understand why anyone ever makes anything less than a 60 minute Broadway CD. It should be a sin. The book of musical gives the characters their reasons to sing, and their reasons to dance. I hate it when a song just starts out of nowhere and isn't given a proper introduction.

I think that they'll record the scene. In my eyes, it's one of the best written dramtic scenes in all of musical theatre and I think that Sondheim appreciates Weidman's book way too much to let it go unrecorded.

They like to record songs with no introduction because listening to the same dialogue for the fiftieth time can get rather annoying.
Aaaanyway...yay! Can't wait to hear this recording.
