If you haven't seen it, The Lion King is a must see. The fact that after 5 years it's still the #1 show on Broadway is most impresssive. I have now seen it 8 times and love to take people to see it for the first time. Why? Because there is nothing else like it.

My perfect day would begin at on the beach in Hana, Maui and end at a Broadway Musical.

I would take time to see Nine this summer as it is a limited engagement. It is an unusual, original show--see it while you can.

Why don't you branch out and see a non-musical? ENCHANTED APRIL was excellent.

Seems we have the same interests in shows, other than Rent, you have seen most of my favorites, with one notable exception: "Thoroughly Modern Millie". And Sutton Foster is just the most incredible performer ever! You just gotta see her.

I have to second the Urinetown recommendation, it was fabulous when I saw it back in February. I haven't seen it since Hunter left, though - so I can't speak for the current cast.

Absolutely see Cabaret. I've seen it four times now and would see it again anytime.

Also see Millie. It's G-rated, but a lot of fun and the music is great.

Urinetown is unique, well worth seeing. And Lion King is, too. I also thoroughly enjoyed Beauty and the Beast.

I second everything else the others have suggested, because I believe in seeing 'em all.

I will say I wasn't crazy about Movin' Out. I understand and appreciate that lots of people love it, but I guess it's just not my type of show. I like dialogue. I did enjoy Contact, which was also a "dance play" or whatever the term is that people are using for it, but as much as I LOVE Billy Joel, Movin' Out just left me cold. Maybe I'll see it again months from now when they have to start offering discounts to fill seats, but for now my memory of it is one of being unfilled, and wondering why I spent a hundred bucks to feel that way.
