I love whoever wrote the synopsis.

This is towards the end of it:

"Broken hearted, Christine takes a job as a governess to a group of Austrian children, teaches them to sing and flees a band of pursuing Nazis over the Alps. Freddy awakens, realizes Christine is gone, goes mad and (with Andre and Muriel's help) opens a combination barbershop/pie emporium, as Lawrence sadly leaves Anatevka for a new life in America.
"Actually, if you've seen the show, you'll realize this isn't exactly what happens, so please feel free to read on. If you haven't seen it yet, rather than ruin a few ensuing plot twists, stop right here, go order your tickets (preferably at full price), enjoy, then come back and continue"

Then the rest of the synopsis.

opens a combination barbershop/pie emporium

Priceless!

"One no longer loves one's insight enough once one communicates it."

The opposite of creation isn't war, it's stagnation.

That is really funny, I hope my full copy actually shows up soon! I love this show!

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Sound of Music, Sweeny Todd, and Fiddler on the Roof....and I thought it was Spamalot that wanted to parody all those shows. At least DRS is original.

Very clever :)

JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

Priest:

I read that yesterday and just cracked up... I hope the music justifies the liner notes (sadly, I have not found time to listen yet)... re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Liner Notes

The linear notes are just as good as as track 17 of "A Message from John Lithgow. "Please buy your tickets, preferably at full-price, I have children in college, a mortage, and I am a bit of a clothes horse..Thank you" HAHA...I love it!

"I am a bit of a clothes horse"
Sorry I am not American. What does this mean?

Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."

It means someone really likes to buy clothes, usually infering expensive and uneccessary clothing.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

"opens a combination barbershop/pie emporium"

Now I wonder what in the world that could refer to....

Yeah, I thought the notes were better than the CD lol - no, I didn't.

But that "go buy your tickets..." is from John's message (which is great)

Yeah... Some of that is like 'A Message From John Lithgow' on the CD from the theatre. Clever nonetheless!

I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.
