Everything by Jerry Herman (except La Cage - sort of).
I can understand someone not really liking Evita or My Fair Lady (I love them) - but The King and I??? Really?

I didn't realize Mamma Mia is considered a classic.
The revival of "The King and I" with Yul Brynner/Constance Towers left me cold. I was 13 and remember not liking it at all because I couldn't understand a word that Yul Brynner was saying. He made a big point of emphasizing the "etc.'s" though. But then the revival with Donna Murphy and Lou Diamond Phillips changed my mind (I saw it 8x).
Fiddler...but I am seeing it again when Rosie goes in it!
All right, I'm going to stop reading this thread because it's just going to make me angry.

i used to like oklahoma, but after doing a production of it, if i hear farmer and the cowman ONE MORE TIME... someone won't see tomorrow
Carousel
Some of the music is great. Some of it is nice. Some mediocre. And one in particular is a complete WTF song. And the story is somewhat f*cked up.

Well the ending is that Robert just sort of sneaks off leaving his "friends" sitting around waiting for him. I think it's a cold ending.

South Pacific - though Carousel is one of my absolute favs - go figure.
I didn't care for Death of a Salesman until I saw the Falls/Dennehy/Franz revival in '99, which I absolutely adored (and sobbed like a baby during). I'm curious as to whether Orpheum saw that production.
