I just got home from the first preview of the new NSMT's FULL MONTY. They gave the audience THE FULL MONTY... they did no lighing trick for the finale. They were showing what god gave em! Congrats!!! I am going back after it opens so I can give a full report of the show in its final form. I will say.. GREAT performances all around.. but TRAGIC opening strip.. that will change if they are smart. BUT they will sell out.. the show is overall great and the new seats are very nice. Welcome back NSMT!!!!!!

finally no false advertising.
very excited.
What a great idea for this show - Instead of the lighting trick at the end - to actually give them the real full monty! I cant wait to see this and I salute the cast & crew! This is indeed a BIG fave show of mine by far!!
Yes.. it is true.. it was not a mistake. The lighting effect was cut for artistic reasons.. not technical ones. The effect workd fine.. wheit it surrounded the actors with a wall of uplights that painted the haze white and put the actors behind a wall of light. The cut was done byt he creative forces. And everyone was game. The audience seemed to like it. Thanks for coming to THE FULL MONTY! Cant wait to read a full review after opening. Wish us luck!
By the way, Who is playing "Jeanette"?? That is a great role for a lady of a "certain age" as the french say. I saw Frances on Broadway and Kaye Ballard in a tour and both were a HOOT! Do you have the cast list and who is playing who??

Thank you BSoBW2, I really want to see this production now as well! Does anyone have a list of it's tour stops as of yet? There seems to be another tour out there now and this other one is booked for the Actor's Playhouse this month down in Miami, I was going to catch it there but I'd rather see this cast - they sound scrumptious! (no pun intended, LOL!)
Any info on THIS CAST tour venues/dates is most appreciated, that way, I can line up my schedule and catch it wherever I am going to be at the time. Again, Thank You for the info and, If anyone has NEVER seen "The Full Monty", Please do go - this is a really wonderful show that will make you laugh, cry and just get happy! Trust Me on this one, It's a WINNER! (Just check out the OBC CD - The songs are GREAT!)
Also, I wish to say "BIG KUDOS" to this new cast for this new ending with a REAL "Full Monty" in it!! That sort of makes it an extra special event, No lighting tricks, just the "FULL Monty!" My VERY Best wishes to this Production & it's Cast & Crew!!
Keep us informed!!
North shore Music Theatre does not present tours. This, as all the shows at NSMT, is designed to live on NSMT's stage only, and will be over on November 20.
Merle Louise is great. This should be a great comic triumph for her.
I'm rushing tomorrow.
:)
Heard it was excellent.

Merle Louise is OK.. she seems to rush through her lines and does not get the laughs of Kathleen Freeman. Hopefully it was just opening night nerves. I don’t want to judge performances and staging until it is officially open. I am glad to have seen the first show because I always wonder how much can change in such a short preview process. hmmmm...now everyone is RUNNING to see this, and for what seems to be because they are really naked...geez people, buy a playgirl
or rent a porn.
Actually, I've had plans to see it since casting was announced. I like Sebastian.
Where's everyone from that's in the North Shore area?
