It was in a small theater, but it was PACKED.
Absolutely LOVED the movie. I knew it would be great. But this exceeded my expectations. Nikki Blonsky is INCREDIBLE and the whole cast...wow. Couldn't have asked for better.
Was the Popcorn fresh and buttered?
I wanna see it but Travolta's face scares me.
I hated HAIRSPRAY!
I liked it, but they took out a lot of the good lines, like the one about the stupid bus crash.
That line was in there...
I don't think so. But then, the guy next to me talked through the whole movie so I very well may have missed it.
I could've sworn it was...
Maybe it was.

Saw it tongiht. I actually really, really liked it.
"stupid bus crash" is not in the movie. I noticed that was missing the first time I saw it.

StageManager, if you hate HAIRSPRAY so much, why do you keep popping onto threads devoted to the subject? Is it just so you can say, "I hated HAIRSPRAY!"? This is at least the second time I've seen you do this...
Thanks, Dottie. I didn't think it was.
Personally, I think the movie lacks spunk, energy and spark. Nikki Blonsky bores me. Travolta embarrases himself and the direction was completely uninspired.
I did however like Queen latifah, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes and Christopher Walken. Oh, and Elijah Kelly is fantastic as Seaweed.

Travolta had too much of a masculine voice.
Yeah, unlike Harvey's feminine lilt...

I thought the movie was better than the show.
Travolta does embarrass himself, and Efron is far from a skilled actor.
Best movie of the summer.
