Hey Y'All... I am planning a trip for my mom and I for Spring Break in March.... I have been to NYC before and seen Wicked, The Color Purple w/LaChanze, Beauty & the Beast, Tarzan and The Drowsy Chaparone and I went to the 60th Annual Tony Awards....
My mom hasn't been to NYC- So, I was wondering where should we stay!?
These are the shows I think we should see... Put in your input please!
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
IN THE HEIGHTS
WICKED
THE COLOR PURPLE
JERSEY BOYS
SPRING AWAKENING
thanks everyone, im excited to hear what you think!

I don't know much about you BW, but from the little I do know I'd bet you'd enjoy seeing one show six times, rather than seeing 6 different shows.

Why are you considering watching The Color Purple again? If it's because you want to see Fantasia in the show, I don't believe she's going to be in the show then. The tour is going to start up soon so I would say wait for the tour to come to you and catch something else. Personally, I much rather catch something new in my limited time in NYC.

Assuming they are still open, why not try Curtains or Xanadu?
Definitely see IN THE HEIGHTS. Don't miss it.
And yeah, I too would recommend Curtains and Xanadu over seeing shows you've already seen.

How about:
SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE
PASSING STRANGE
SOUTH PACIFIC
will south pacific be open by march?0 For some reason, I thought I read April... I really hope its March!
And I am also going to NYC over my spring break.... I plan on seeing
Sunday in the park with George,
In The Heights,
Young Frankenstein,
Xanadu,
Spring Awakening if I can get stage seats,
and now, south pacific if its open by then
I have time for 2 more shows. This depends on whats playing at the Met and I might do Forbidden Broadway
With all of the good plays this year, it'd be a crime not to toss in at least one.
I'm going for my spring break on my way to France. My choices are definitley:
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
THE LITTLE MERMAID
FORBIDDEN BROADWAY
XANADU
Possible
LEGALLY BLONDE
MARY POPPINS
SOUTH PACIFIC
PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (never seen it)
I'm going for my spring break and my number one pick is In The Heights.
P.S. Does anyone know if casting has been announced?

SOUTH PACIFIC is currently scheduled to begin previews March 1st and open on April 3rd.
A CATERED AFFAIR will play it's first preview March 25th and open April 17th.
well i know my mom loved In the Heights and Jersey Boys if that helps lol. Jersey boys is one of my favorite plays on Broadway (hense the avator) if you can get tickets for that i would DEFINITELY reccomend it.
of the ones on your list, I've also seen Spring Awakening and Wicked and I liked both though SA doesn't really strike me as a show you'd see with a parent, but maybe that's just me.
