Break a leg on the first of what should be hundreds, if not thousands, of performances to come.
I love this show, it's the closest thing to a masterpiece Broadway has seen in over a year. I wish them nothing but the best and I'm sure their reviews will be stellar!
i apologize if this is a dumb question, which i assume it is, but they're not selling any opening night tickets to the public, are they? i've bought tickets for several other opening nights before, so i thought i'd ask about this one...
I checked too, Jess. Usually they sell the tickets that haven't gone to the invited guests. Maybe they will later today from the box office. Nothing online though.

Man, I am NOT on the ball lately... I thought this was opening on Sunday.
Break many legs, y'all!

Break a leg to all involved. This show deserves to get across the board rave reviews. I've seen it twice already and it was the epitome of true brilliance.
That said, I saw the show this past Monday night, and I found it to be FAR from brilliant.
Messy entertainment, that's all. Choppy book, forgettable score.
The cast was great, though.
The audience loved it (because it's really a crowd pleaser).
I'm sure it will run for a very long time, and I'm not complaining. It has a good heart and provides some vague themes of acceptance, which is certainly not a bad thing at all.
Anyway, good luck, cast!

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

And it's also a musical about the failure of "the experiment of socialism in a democracy".
And with the Anglo Saxon settlement of Hw¿singatûn (which evolved into the name Washington) being only 15 miles from Easington, where Billy Elliot is located, it may be reasonable to assume that the ancestors of the first President of the United States were also Geordies.
Best wishes to all involved. Updated On: 11/13/08 at 04:47 PM
