For all those not watching, it's a rather small role. She plays the mother of one of the doctor's patients and the little boy keeps trying to set the doctor up with Idina. It's cute. The scene where the little boy was hyperventilating was rather intense, I don't normally watch this show, but it's nice to see Idina on my television.
"Anybody that goes to the theater, I think we’re all misfits, so we ended up on stage or in the audience.” --- Patti LuPone.
I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.
Am I the only one who doesn't get her appeal? I think her acting is just ok, nothing great. I saw her in Enchanted recently and just didn't get it. And, while she has a very good voice, those giant gulps of breath she takes between phrases drive me batty.
I don't get her either, Jake. Her acting seems so flat to me, and while her vocals can be okay, I usually find them lacking as well. And yes, those gasps..I can't deal with it.
