"A birdcage I plan to hang. I'll get to that someday. A birdcage for a bird who flew away...Around the world."
"Life is a cabaret old chum, only a cabaret old chum, and I love a cabaret!"-RIP Natasha Richardson-I was honored to have witnessed her performance as Sally Bowles.
I expect there will be some notable celebrities in attendance tonight.
Those who are priviledged enough to be going are in for a treat!
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

That was actually a really great set of Word Of Mouth reviewers.

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

i liked this show very much. I think Aaron Tveit is a wonder on that stage. He is an amazing spectre and has the chops to be the next IT boy for a while until another one comes out of Ithaca or Carnegie Mellon or where ever. I just don't think this show is going to get the raves some people think it will. I think, while the show is good, the show itself is very flawed for being so dramatic. I think the show will also be a very very difficult sell in this economic climate. I am sure the op costs are around 350,000 a week so i think it could run a bit, but i just don't see this one making it. Hopefully it will get a tony nom (of course I hope ROA gets one and shrek is the one left out in the cold)as I think the songs and subject matter need to be shown to the 6 million or so viewers who watch the tony's and I hope the show lasts until at least labor day because shows like this that take a risk on something need to be seen. I just think they might have wanted to wait a bit more to bring it to the great white way. All said and done, I wish it nothing but the best of reviews.
