Dramamama, I don't see any problem in a 15 and a 13 year old being friends. Having a child, yes. But what's the problem with a 15 and 13 year old being "actual friends"?

Have they confirmed whether this is a hoax or not? Either way...it is beyond disturbing.

I think he might say that because although the age difference is only two years, those are two very important years due to them being teenagers. And also boys are usually two years behind girls when it comes to maturity levels. So it's kind of like a 15 year old and an 11 year old being friends, which is just a little weird. If you're a sophomore in high school are you going to be hanging out with an 8th grader? Or if you consider him being "mentally 11 years old" then a 6th grader?

I'm a guy who's a sophomore in High School, not a girl who's a sophomore.

This is really, really, really disturbing. I mean, that girl is probably in my grade or a year younger. If any of the girls I knew from school were dating a boy who looked and seemed so young, I would be really concerned for her. I think she has extremely low self-esteem and said 'yes' to the first boy who asked her out... urgh, this really bothers me.

If you're a sophomore in high school are you going to be hanging out with an 8th grader?
Hmm, I'm a junior in high school, and one of my best friends is an eighth grade boy. But then, I'm pretty much seven years old at heart. Even so, I would never dream of dating eighth grade friend, and he seems years and years older than this Alfie kid (not to mention that in addition to being 'younger than springtime', this buddy of mine is also, erm, 'gayer than laughter'.)

HAHAHA Schmerg! Well I guess my point is more along the lines of 'would you be having sex with an 8th grader' LOL

I worked with a girl who had her first daughter at 11 years old. The child has several mental disabilities, but she kept the child and raised her. The baby is a 15 year old now.

My grandma was married at 13 and knocked up shortly thereafter. This story is sad on several levels but we can only blame Mother Nature for engineering young teens to procreate. I'm ticked off at his dad though for having never explained the details of coition, procreation and family planning to his 13-yr old son.

What's even more shocking though is that there are still dads who procure prostitutes for their teenaged sons to "get it out of the way". Also, in my neighborhood there is a vicious prostitution ring involving underaged girls many of whom have entered the country illegally from parts of Central America and Brazil. They arrive indebted to family members who "sell" them to area underground "bordellos".

I know people who had sex starting when we were in 6th grade. This was in a middle class suburb, not the inner city. They were just bored latchkey kids trying to find the new way to "rebel". The difference is that the professional, educated parents have higher standards for their daughters than giving birth at 13.

If he was Jewish and the child was a boy, they could have the Bar Mitzvah and the Bris at the same time...

Yes...there are not too many 8th grade boys (that are typically pretty immature) that 10th grade girls would find appealing for sex, for relationships, for conversation, for hanging out with, for ANYTHING.. They are WORLDS apart.

This is obviously a joke... I mean, if he's 4ft tall and his voice hasn't broken, then he hasn't even started puberty and technically, the opposite sex (if you swing that way) is still yucky!

15 year olds getting knocked up is not a shocker but just sad news.

I once heard someone describe her (Ruthie Henshall) singing as sounding as though she's trying to swallow a whole meatball slightly larger than her windpipe. (The same person compared Michael Ball's singing to sounding as though he's sitting on a washing machine on spin cycle and Colm Wilkinson's to a man with a paralyzed lip trying to eat cottage cheese.) --- Schmerg_The_Impaler

OMGZ, this is totally like "Spring Awakening," you guys!

Seriously, though, this has been bothering me since I first heard about it.

At first, I thought you were just saying 'coitus' before it was wrong. Then I finally realized that you were correcting the word 'coition.'

This is so wierd. The kid looks like he is like 5th grade. At a middle school in our town we thought this girl was pregnant and she just did it unprotected with his gf and they are both in 7th grade. They both look more mature then that boy though.

That boy looks no older than my niece. There's a 3/4 year age difference, but he doesn't *look* it. That girl has got to have something not precisely normal going on inside her head.

Welcome to Britain, teenage pregnancy capital of the universe! *sighs*

"Mickey and Minnie Mouse hold hands, surrounded by lovehearts, on the headboard of her bed — where Maisie was conceived when Alfie was just 12 and Chantelle 14."

I want to vomit.

Why didn't Alfie and Chantelle's parents do everything in their power to encourage their CHILDREN to place this baby up for adoption?
