"IT WAS ANGELS IN AMERICA, TRAY!"
Jack sniffing paint (and Jenna's mouth) was hysterical. I give Krakowski kudos for keeping her composure in that scene.
I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would.

Haters gonna hate, but I laughed a lot.
"It was the best of both worlds. I got to feel martyred and indignant all day and then I still got to eat cake off the floor."

I can't wait to watch the West Coast version later today.
Also, I thought Liz was already 40.

It arguably wasn't a great episode qua episode, but I thought it was a very successful, fun event. Several good lines, and the flashbacks were brilliant. More than that, it had a sense of occasion (which was not the case when "Will & Grace" did it).
I had a great time.

I felt like it was kind of a one-off, in that you could probably pull this episode from the canon and it wouldn't affect the rest of the show in the slightest, but I agree that there was an event feel to it. I loved that the whole show was even more meta and self-referential than usual, and the fake commercials were great, too.

I loved when Carol was on the phone with Liz "oh it's a surprise? SURPISE! Yeah, I knew it was a surprise!" LOL!
I read about a number of changes on the west coast version. I'm gonna watch it tonight.

I'd recommend watching both versions for people who liked the episode. For example, Cheyenne Jackson sang the theme song for the West Coast, while the East Coast had Jane Krakowski. Also Jon Hamm had a different hand xD
Overall, I loved it. It was an event that drew buzz, which is something 30 Rock definitely needed!

I just watched the west coast version and I laughed all over again. I kept thinking that it was fun to see a live comedy show that wasn't a sketch and followed a narrative, however thin. I was reading the internets today and lot of people were bitching, especially at TWoP and I just don't get it. Maybe I'm blind to 30 Rock's flaws, because a lot of them were also bitching about how bad the last season was, but it's still the tv show that makes me laugh the most consistently.
Also, did anyone catch the exchange at the end of the first show between Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski? "We did it!" "We did it once."
Also, Jane Krakowski should host SNL.
Remember when you'd edit a post on here and it would show that time stamp, instead of saying that you posted and edited at the same time?

There was a lot less nervous energy, though I thought there were a few more stumbles over lines. Unless they were intentional. I liked a couple of jokes from the first one more, but all in all I thought they were complimentary to one another and as a fan of the show, I really enjoyed it.

TWoP as a whole has it's head too far up Glee's ass to realize just how good 30 Rock is. Lady Lola just straight up sucks. I much prefer The AV Club.

^And those were my top three for sure.
Oh, and it was cool to see them filming on my street in Astoria. I've been out of town for a few months, so it was a little slice of home for me.

"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

Liz: "He's right, I'm wearing a Duane Reade bag as underwear."
Jenna: "Kim Jong-il? I've never heard of her!"
