That statement makes them look even worse.
There is no question now that what they did was intentional.

He's owning the fact that it WASN'T the greatest performance, while still standing by his conviction that he shouldn't be getting eaten alive for doing things that female artists do all the time.
Who is eating him alive? he biggest point that the media simply are trying to hide from the public was that there were ONLY 1500 complaints. The Madonna?Britney kiss got way more coverage because they were bigger stars, but the fact that there were probably more complaints over an old South Park rerun than for this sounds like a rather good thing. Most of the networks are going to act like old-school asses, but the reality of the audience reaction is far more interesting that the network's and it is WAY more entertaining than Adam's performance.

If it leads to legal consequences I think that's pretty much it for me and the US of A.

He's a poor attempt at being the male Lady Gaga.
He's spoiled by an overrated reality show and has way too much confidence for someone new to the scene.
Female artists did controversial things and actually had a vision, credibility, and direction. This queen? Attention whore. The performance was tacky. Tasteless. Desperate, etc.

I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

Only if I can bring Kringas!
For a minute I thought that the legal thing could have been whether or not they legally had the right to air the clip since it was on another network, but reading it again, no, that's not that what it says.

Apparently Good Morning America won't promote your album if you engage in a boy on boy kiss...but they have no problem promoting the album of a convicted girlfriend beater.

UGG. Seriously? SERIOUSLY? I just.. I have no words. Makes me want to never watch ABC again.
(on a side note, it's very annoying to me that I find Chris Brown super attractive. haha)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

From Erik's article - He was not canceled over a gay kiss. He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV.
Actually wasn't he on live tv like twelve times or so over the course of that show he was on. Doesn't this statistically show than more often than not, he can "control" himself on tv.
I'd boycott ABC, but they have shows I like, and let's face it, a boycott ain't gonna do nothing.

As to snl's question. You can't control who you are attracted to. I assume you think he's attractive physically and that you don't want him to beat you. I thought that "You Lie!" senator or whatever he was was sexy.

I'd love to boycott ABC over this, but, well, Lost airs on that network and the final season starts in January.

Exactly! He is more than capable of controlling himself. He would NOT just suddenly bust out highly sexual moves on a morning show. The AMAs were already highly sexual/not appropriate for kids before Adam took the stage. That's part of the reason he DID just decide to let it all loose and go all out.
Anyway yeah, I don't watch actual TV anyway (don't have cable at school), so I don't have to worry about boycotting cause I'm doing it anyway haha. And funny enough I actually don't even really follow ABC shows much anymore anyway, even streaming online. I used to, but I stopped watching Grey's, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers and Sisters on a regular basis. No real reason, I just got busy with other things and got too lazy to catch up on it all.
The only show I really follow regularly now is Glee, and that's on Fox, so I'm good! :P But I'm not about to expect anyone to actually boycott. It wouldn't do much anyway
There IS this petition going around though that's great, if you guys want to sign!

I mean it prob won't do much either, but the message of it is a good one, and it maybe could at least get ABC to issue a public apology.
They said they got 1500 complaints? Well that petition's already got nearly 2125 signatures, and it's still goin' strong

The Swede is amazed that this is even a big deal. She opened up the local newspaper today to find a question in their Dear Abby type column that said, "I am a gay man in a very committed relationship with the most wonderful man. I really want to enjoy anal sex with him, but it just hurts too much. What can I do to make it easier?" Then last week at Parliament, some woman speaking about sexuality in schools said, "I don't care if you eat a p***** in the morning and suck a d*** at night. I mean, really, what does it matter?!" The US is SO conservative in comparison.
