They've mentioned Wicked on Brothers and Sisters before that, also.
This is a FABULOUS episode.
I have been eh the past couple...just because but I am enjoying this one.
I agree, caitie. I'm particularly enjoying it this week! I think this is one of the few shows I watch in which I like each and every character...that's pretty rare for me. Updated On: 2/8/07 at 08:41 PM

Good episode, I had thought that Justin was picked on and got into a fight Good twist that he was defending his Mom.

Holy crap I love Henry so much (although he is only forgiven for Wicked because of the sybolism, natch, otherwise I'd insist he take her to Grey Gardens). And I am absolutely DEAD over the Bridget Jones like scene in the promos for next week. WHY ARE YOU SO GOOD, SHOW???

SPOILER
I love this show, but I was annoyed that Betty didn't just say, "Oh, we broke up," when Henry said, "..and you're with Walter." I mean, come ON, Betty!! And come ON, writers! They've done a great job developing her character, and I think we all like how much more assertive she's become, so I just didn't feel that was very realistic. It was just a pat way to prolong the "will-she-ever-find-happiness-with-Henry" storyline. Argh.
Where was Christina this episode? Her snarky standoffs with Marc are one of my favorite parts of the show!

I think she'll be back next week. She stormed off last week, when she realized what she'd done in order to have her runway show.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
erika, what good would it have done for her to do so? She could see (well I could) that he was happy to be back with his ex, and all it would do if Betty told him was make him feel bad....
I was not a real fan of this show, but this episode sold me...that whole bumper car thing was priceless.

Elphaba: What? He didn't look happy at all to me. He looked miserable, actually.
well, I think he looked that way because he had to tell Betty that he was going back to his ex.......just my opinion.....I mean whenever I've broken up with someone I felt horrible......well except for one jerk.....

I must concur with Erika. Henry did not look happy at ALL.

I saw it as one of those "saving face" moments we've all lived after finding out that someone we have feelings for drops the JF (just friends) bomb on us.

I have dropped the JF bomb before...it was not a pleasant experience for either party.
I work Thursday nights now, so I just caught up with the episode on ABC.com. I love this cast more and more each week. The casting reminds me of Gilmore Girls (and not just because Miss Patty was on). I just mean they cast each role so perfectly, I could never imagine anyone else playing these parts. I have always adored Judith Light, and she's so great here.
I totally called all of this!
Good episode!

See, I thought of it like this: Betty's the one who pulled the "just friends" thing on Henry the day before (which he was clearly uspet about, as he mumbled, "Great. Another friend" as he walked away). He never would have even considered starting things up again with his ex had she not showed up unannounced AND he thought Betty wasn't interested. And his delivery of the line, "And you're with Henry, so..." was so open-ended, like, "Right? You are with Henry, right? I have no chance? Just making sure..." So to me, it was very clear to anyone, including Betty, that he wasn't psyched to be getting back with his ex, and if I'd been her, I would certainly have piped up with, "Oh, yeah, well, actually, we broke up."
Erika- Next week, its get interesting if you saw the preview.
anyone else notice the "meet the dreams" magnet on the refrigerator when hilda rips down the flyers?
nice little touch.
I cant wiat for this to be on dvd.

I did notice that
I was like oh my god.
I love Judith Light:

She needs her own show. Can't you see her living next door to "Friends" or having to deal with the "Sex & the City" girls? She would be saying "Why don't you people quit whining and get jobs?" Or maybe Christina and the immigration worker Constance could be roommates.
I didn't like the bumper cars idea. It was too obvious.
I did think the line about the "dress museums" was funny.
Did anyone notice the blooper? Alexis throws her shoe and then two minutes later we see her standing in her shoes, no time or movement to go and pick them up.

That was great.
Next week looks AMAZING.
