Do they ever mention Tim (Trevor's son)?
I think Amanda mentioned him-she was trying to reach him when there was some trouble with Janet from another Planet. She never was able to reach him, but they seemed to be keeping the door open for his return sometime.
I do not care for John James as Jeff Martin.

I read that they are letting Opal and Tonya Pinkins go as contract players and bringing back Colby, who was born in 1999, as a teenager! It's funny how quickly the kids age on this show (except for Josh who got younger). Meanwhile, Erica keeps getting younger.
I prefer "Passions" these days.
I hate how annoying they're making Jackson. He's being written as a complete ass these days.

And now that he spent the night "sailing" with Brook there's bound to be more trouble.
Can someone summarize today's show, please? VCR wasn't set.

What happened on there? Didn't anyone else notice that the show now looks like it's on film rather than tape? I don't like it at all. I also don't like the Jeff Martin guy. He isn't the slightest bit like the original.
I noticed the film thing too, Jane. When it first started last week, I thought they were doing it to get a different effect for the Club opening. Since it's stayed that way, I guess not. Sometimes I like it.

I thought the same thing about the club. Sometimes, when they're not in the studio, they don't use the same tape. Now that I see it's permanent, I'm not happy. I don't know if it's a money saving thing, or a switch from AFTRA to SAG, or what. I don't see the other soaps doing it.
It's just not right when it's a normal, everyday scene. Especially an indoor scene. Used for outdoors, probably wouldn't be so bad.

Okay totally not on this subject and irrelevant, but since this is a thread for AMC fans, I just thought you may all want to know that I met Jennifer Bassey the other day, and she is the sweetest woman ever.
And I brought it up, so she told the story of her dress coming off at the SOD awards. Hehe.

They need a new cameraman, cause he really can't operate the steady very well.

Whoa, that is not the way I saw her. I was the receptionist one year at her agent's office. Whenever she called she was the snottiest, most arrogant client they had. She would not hold the phone for even one second if the agent was busy. Everyone rolled their eyes when she came around or called.
Glad you had a good experience, though.
Oh...sorry Jane. I work for a friend of hers, and she visited the office. I guess people are different in different settings.

AMC is really lame these days. It looks like another round of Tad and Dixie. Makes me want to barf. And now Kendall has a brother. Doesn't she remember she already had a half brother, Trey, who is never mentioned?
Catch Susan Lucci's real life daughter on "Passions" instead. She plays Gwen. She's the one standing in the picture below.
If you don't like AMC, why do you bother watching? Some markets you can watch both, without overlap.

I watch out of habit since I have been watching it off and on since the days of Phil and Tara, Chuck and Donna, Benny and Brook, Phoebe and Langley....back when it was good.
Yep, they were good times. I had more of problem with Passions than I ever did with AMC. That's why I stopped watching it. I only tune in once in a while.

That whole Rome Da Vinci Code/Holy Grail thing on "Passions" was a riot. I miss Alistar and the hunchback nun. Now everyone is back in Harmony and Theresa, finally, has a new love (NOT Ethan!). Anyway, I enjoy that show because it is a spoof/satire of soaps and plays it up for laughs.
I've been watching AMC since the day it started, so I feel it's my duty to keep watching! It's part of my daily routine (if I'm not home, I tape it). However, I do think it was better back in the day. No offense, but I feel the reason it's changed is because it wants to appeal to the younger audience. Almost every single day they introduce some new young hottie on the show.

I don't mind the "hotties" but I wish they would kill off Tad AND Dixie once and for all!
Jane2, I started watching AMC in 1979 and even scheduled some of my classes around it in college. I finally weaned myself off of it when Eden Reigel left the show. I'll tune in every now and then when I'm at the gym, but find I can't even tolerate 5 minutes of it now.
I watched AMC, OLTL and GH from the late 70s to early 80s. With Soapnet, I can now rekindle the fun of the daytime soaps...and what's on when I get up in the morning is AMC. I've been having fun getting into the melodrama, but really...some of the acting is atrocious! That girl playing Colby? Painful! I'll see if the stories keep me hooked.
