AMERICAN HORROR STORY 3

Posted: 1/24/14 at 7:42pmDid he just run out of episodes?! You mean to tell me that Fiona couldn't protect herself? You can kill a ghost ax murderer with an ax and knives? This is like bad fan fiction.

Posted: 1/24/14 at 7:46pmPrecisely. There is some fan spec that this was part of their pact, and shes not really dead, she just wanted AxeMan to kill off all potential supremes (as her daughter saw in her vision.) Which makes no sense--the jewels she gave her daughter give false sight?--but is not out of a possibility when it comes to Murphy-land.

Yes, you're right, but Murphy kept saying in interviews that the scariest part about the LaLaurie storyline was that it was all true.

"Murphy kept saying in interviews that the scariest part about the LaLaurie storyline was that it was all true."
I can't decide whether that's despicable or willfully ignorant. Never mind the character assassination of Papa Legba. Murphy is a fvckwit.

Mauve Hearts?
Too 80s. Radiant Orchid Hearts this season.
As for Cloverfield, it's one of my favorite films! RobbieJ was right about the ending, though.

That would involve my television hopping off the credenza and giving me the best head I've ever had. I'm doubting that's gonna happen.
At least I'll get to scrub my brain of it with Top Chef immediately after.

Wyn, I'll be checking out Penny Dreadful -- I forgot it was coming up soon. With John Logan and Sam Mendes there I at least expect it to be... decent (though the plan of doing "true horror" yet mashing up classic movie monsters whohaven't been scary for eons sounds a bit hard to work to me.)
Re AHS Coven, nothing new here but I appreciated AVClub's write up of the season leading up to tonight (no finale spoilers...) http://www.avclub.com/review/american-horror-story-has-never-been-more-of-a-mes-200969

Yeah, I'm definitely 420-ing during the finale tonight, this season has become a real F*CKing mess. The racial politics are icky as usual given that Murphy cannot handle race, but the fact that they have no idea what the rules of the world are and that they have no interest in keeping some sort of cohesion from one episode to the next is a dealbreaker, ladies.
I'm gonna say no one emerges as the Supreme and that it's the entire Coven that has to stick together now, or something crazy like that. All I know is it's going to be disappointing, and that Jessica Lange will definitely show up. I'm hoping for another fabulous scene with Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett (MVPs of the season)...also hoping Gabourey Sidibe takes an acting lesson before her next gig.
Oh, and Team Shirley all the way in TOP CHEF.

Posted: 1/29/14 at 7:38pmPatti LuPone was the next Supreme. Hank made a deliberate aim to shoot LuPone in "The Sacred Taking." Why does Fiona all of a sudden regain her health after throwing up the pills, and why does she stay healthy the rest of the season? Because Patti DIED.
