AMERICAN IDOL
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1425
Posted: 4/8/09 at 12:25amI bought their album way back when, and listened the heck out of it. I think my favorite cut is Head Over Heels.

Posted: 4/8/09 at 12:29amAnyone found Adam's version online yet? I can't find it and I didn't get to watch tonight.

I loved the Tears for Fears song, but don't really remember them until College which was 84-88. So I was surprised that song was 82.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1428
Posted: 4/8/09 at 12:39amI actually like the Tears for Fears version better than the Jules/Andrews one because I'm crazy, but Adam was super impressive tonight. I was so happy he toned down the makeup and the screeching. Really good move.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1429
Posted: 4/8/09 at 12:45amI prefer the Tears for Fears version also, but Adam still ruled the night!

All through this season Danny has been my favorite, has nothing to do with his singing, I just love him. Tonight I realized that Adam is already the winner and I'm forcing myself to be happy for him. Talent wise I can see Adam, Allison and Matt but I think Allison will be voted off before the last three. If that's the case I hope Danny comes in third at least.

Well, you can't really say who is the winner just yet. I mean - Season 5 anyone?
Everyone thought Chris D. was the obvious winner, but he went out 4th. Of course he has turned out to be the RL winner of that season, but still.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1434
Posted: 4/8/09 at 8:31amJust loved Adam last night. If that freaky vampire Scott doesn't go home tonight, there is something seriously wrong with America.

Well on the morning radio station here, they were saying how awful Scott was (YES!)
lol and the woman on air said "Hell, he has to be hearing impaired too, he was awful"

Hahahaha amazing!
Ya, if Scott doesn't go home, I'm gonna be pissed. His song choice was just awful! (As was his singing and overall performance.) I also hate the weird comebacks he has to the judges..."It shows that I'm versatile." Really? Because, if anything, I would say he's the opposite of versatile, considering as soon as he steps away from the piano he goes from bad to worse!
Matt = amazing. Adam = amazing. The last 8 minutes of the show was the best.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1438
Posted: 4/8/09 at 9:33amI thought Allison was fantastic last night. (She also sang one of my favorite songs so that was a plus) It's a shame that she'll probably go home too early.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1439
Posted: 4/8/09 at 11:17amI just watched Adam's performance since my DVR stopped recording as Ryan introduced him and wow! Adam was the best by leaps and bounds. Allison was very good to.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1440
Posted: 4/8/09 at 11:20amI'm one of the cynics who doesn't believe the voting is accurately reported. I think the producers decide who stays and goes. For that reason, Adam may not win, and I hope he doesn't. Why? because he's not an amateur, and he's already beyond the point of being an AI winner, IMO.

He's good to go, win or lose.
Wasn't it funny that in his childhood pictures he had blonde-ish hair and freckles? He looked so different...

Jane, that's exactly how I feel.
I haven't been keeping up with American Idol this season (at least, not as much as last year or the year before). However, I'm glad I caught last night's performance by Adam. After seeing the recap, he definitely was head and shoulders above the rest. Although, I liked Allison's performance too.

Posted: 4/8/09 at 1:36pmSpeaking of childhood pictures, Simon's picture was hysterical. I can just imagine how pompous he must have been as a child.

Adam is completely different from David Cook, however he has effectively created the same mystique that Cook created. Folks are tuning in to see what he'll do next. He is unique, unpredictable, and immensely talented.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1445
Posted: 4/8/09 at 2:06pmI'm still LOL @ danmag calling Scott a freaky vampire.....

I started cracking up at Scott's "I was always reaching" and "now I look into your eyes" lyrics. Awful of me, but...yeah. He needs to go home now.
You know, for what was basically 80s night, those were some really terrible song choices. It could have been a lot more fun than it was. And Matt depresses me because although he was good last night, it's so obvious he isn't singing what he wants to be singing. They only kiss his ass when he takes their advice, and when he tries to do his own thing they get on him.
I also agree that Adam shouldn't win, because he doesn't need to. I really want to see Allison take it; I love her more and more each week (is it because she reminds me of a Treasure Troll? I'll never know).
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1449
Posted: 4/8/09 at 3:40pmLOL!!! Yes! Allison totally looks like one of those troll dolls.
