There's a new video that is very popular. A contestant on a recent episode of "Wheel of Fortune" guessed the puzzle correctly when there was only one letter as a clue in a 27-Letter Puzzle. I usually solve puzzles earlier than the contestants on the show, but I would never have bene able to do what this girl did.

Why didn't she continue playing until she'd amassed some cash before guessing the answer?

It was a prize puzzle, so there was likely a $10k or so trip to whoever solved it.

On the other hand, I love watching people give really stupid answers. One puzzle was FI_ING FRANKFURTERS AND FRENCH FRIES and someone guessed a P. Moron.
Reminds me of this

All tv contest shows are fixed. (Ask Patti LuPone about Ted Mack Amateur Hour)

Not true. My ex was a winner on Wheel of Fortune in the 80s. It wasn't fixed.

When watching the clip, I got the first three words based on just the apostrophe, but I definitely would not have gotten the whole phrase without getting a few more letters up there.

If it was fixed no one let Pat Sajak in on it. He is visibly shocked.

I'm something of a Wheel of Fortune savant, and even I was impressed with that.

Wait until Chuck Woolery releases his memoirs. Your ex may be a whole chapter.

My mom was on Concentration (back in the days when Hugh Downs hosted it). She won a few times, so if it was fixed, she beat it. Or was in on it all along.

Unless Mister Matt's ex called Chuck Woolery to apologize for winning.

I bet some of you actually thought Bert Convy and Vicky Lawrence could actually draw on Win, Lose or Draw. They were tracers!!!!

And don't get me started on Betty White on Password.

My grandmother used to get all riled up over High Rollers and Card Sharks. She could clap with a lit cigarette in her hand and not drop an ash. She also loved Wheel of Fortune, but Press Your Luck made her too nervous and The Newlywed Game was too obscene. Only white trash went on TV and talked about making whoopee. It was fine for Blanche on Golden Girls because it was fictional and she was a self-proclaimed slut, but real women did not disclose their whoopee habits on national TV. It was a sin.
