Why is American Dreams now being shown on Wednesday nights instead of Sunday?
because they're trying to turn wednesday into sunday. first alias, now this. it's so weird! but happy, i'm so used to them being together! in reality, it's probably because it was playing opposite extreme home makeover, which is another heavily family-oriented show. playing against Lost might not be amazing, but it's a little better.
i think we're in for a LONG summer on the show if Meg and Rox are graduating next week!
the pitting against lost is going to cause some heartache, but i have priorties-
american dreams rools numba one!
and i genuinely hope this causing it to do better in the ratings, it's really suffering. i <3 roxanne!

Can Tivo record one thing while watching another??
i didnt think it was possible for me to want tivo more.
From what I've heard (and I never personally confirmed this myself) "Lost" will be reruns for the month of March (good news for AD!) and "American Idol" will be moved from 8 to 9 for that time also. So.........if this is true, AD has little competition, and it's crucial for them do well if we want to see it back next year.
It's a really delicate time for the show right now from what I've heard. They are really on the bubble. Here's hoping they have some pity on Dick Clark and renew it. Next season with Bandstand out in LA would be so much fun!

I hate it.
Watching American Dreams on Sunday was a family tradition--now we can't do it, since it's on when my sister is at dance lessons.
Damn NBC. (or whoever owns the show)

seriously, though....CAN tivo record something while something else is being viewed?????
from the TiVo website:
"You can, however, watch a prerecorded program while your TiVo box is recording another live program. (Try that with a VCR!)"
looks like a good investment to me!

i see, so i can watch something pre-recorded while taping, but i cant, for example, watch a NEW american dreams while recording a NEW lost.
boo.
at least i dont have to worry about it for the next 3 weeks !!!
haha i just picked a quote that seemed mildly related. based on that, i'm pretty sure you'd be able to watch a new AD while recording lost.

Sad to say folks that this is the last year for American Dreams. NBC has not renewed it for next season. : (
OMG, where'd you get that info? i'm seriously about to cry! AAAAH!
i googled it and couldn't find any info- are you SURE? or is there another jack and bobby scare?
you can just program using your vcr. and wathc at the same time.
what wenesday is this starting back up?
ken adams, I know exactly how you feel... I have never missed an episode of Lost OR American Dreams. What I plan to do is watch one while recording the other... apparently my VCR can do that at the same time.
But Lost is reruns for a while, which is good for now. I mean, that way I can watch American Dreams until I have to go back and forth... Wednesday has way too many great TV shows on!

i don't have time for tv anymore... it's kind of sad so i end up taping American Dreams and watching a marathon of it ... at least i get to fast forward the commercials
I think it's easier to watch... because you get to see everything at once, It's like a movie
Anyone watch tonight?

I was kinda disappointed in this new episode, I don't really know why. It didn't really end with suspense like it normally does, and the storylines just didn't hook me in so much. If i was a new watcher on Wednesdays and checked out the show for the first time, I wouldn't have been too impressed.
Tonight is the last episode! I'm so sad!
the show has a decent chance of returning next season, but jonathan prince, the creator of the show, emailed the fan club and asked that we 1) continue to send in postcards to jeff zucker and 2) email nbc after the airing of the season finalle with the subject line reading "save our show." if you can spare just a second of your time, it could make a difference. here's the email address:

tonight's episode was really sad... i hope it's not the end for sure.
ok, done! i e-mailed to save our show!
