I couldn't believe it when I read this was part of the last three episodes, how is that possible? What a complete waste of time. And yes, I have no idea what the arc for this season was supposed to be. At least COVEN had the whole search for the Supreme business, which may have seemed silly but at least gave the season some kind of journey, I feel like I have waited all season to get a clear arc going on as much as I've enjoyed the individual episodes. Neil Patrick Harris' character was terrible and felt so trivial, and he was basically playing a less interesting version of Desi.

Will Elsa sing "Let It Go"?

If I ever have a TV show (watch yourselves, I know I will,) I really want the review that it was... just fine.

I thought the same thing. For someone whose praise often borders on hyperbolic, "NPH was just fine. And so was the episode" kinda implies that even Luscious knows how bad it sucked.

It wasn't the best episode of AHS I've ever seen, and it wasn't the worst. It was just fine. As it stands now, this season will probably end up ranking as my second favorite, next to ASYLUM. I really don't judge the series on an episode-by-episode basis. I judge each season as a whole. That's the way I believe it's written and really meant to be experienced. That's why, I think, you never see recaps at the beginning of each episode. Unfortunately, the commercial breaks, not to mention a 3-week break, messes with the continuity and flow. I much prefer to re-watch each season on Blu-ray when it's released, in a couple of sittings, as one long movie. It comes across differently. At least to me. Look...if it's not your thing, or you think Murphy is a hack, or you think the story lines's are weak, or you just don't like the show for a dozen other possible reasons, so be it. Don't watch. I'm not trying to convince anyone. Different strokes. But, personally, I find a lot to be admired about it, and look forward to each new episode. And I could watch Jessica Lange chew up scenery from now until the end of days. For me, it's wacky, twisted, over-the-top fun, and I get a kick out of it. So, sue me.

At this point it seems that Murphy and Falchuk would prefer to just make a series where each episode is stand alone based around a common theme than telling any overall story.

Lange has given the impression she now wants to stay another year...

She has to smoke every season. That's the through line that connects everything Ryan Murphy was talking about.

Im in love with this show and totally in love with Emma Roberts <3

Okay, I would keep that on my DVR list. Especially if the characters with lung cancer can communicate with all the dead characters from previous seasons.

I still found it pretty much a mess, but not as bad as last week (hurrah?) The 90 second scene where suddenly all of the freaks decide to kill Elsa was so, so, so bad. I don't get some things--like wouldn't it havebeen more effective if the twins had been there to watch Emma Roberts get sawed in half?
