re: American Idol Predictions

Katharine and Chris are still my favorites but I thought the whole show sucked.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: American Idol Predictions

If this show proved one thing tonight it's that while most of them may have decent voices, their taste is all up their ass! Ahhhh youth.

ugh, someone stop eliot, he's embarassing himself.

"That wasn't even better than Christina Applegate."

*giggle* It's true. I hate it when contestants are overpraised for average performances. Just because everyone else was worse doesn't mean she was amazing. She wasn't. End of story.

Agreed with Simon about Paris. Her performance was contrived.

This show has been terrible. And I feel bad because I couldn't remember who was still left...

re: American Idol Predictions

Errr....what is with the judges? I thought that was very karaoke.

re: American Idol Predictions

I actually thought Elliott kicked ass.

re: American Idol Predictions

I like Elliott (even though I couldn't remember he was in the show...oops!) But I didn't like that performance. He was out of breath at times, and hit some flat notes. He can sing better than that.

re: American Idol Predictions

This was the first time I've watched American Idol this season.

THEY ALL SUCKED!!!

Seriously? These are the finalists???
This has got to be the weakest season ever!
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

The Vics were starting to kick in for Paula.

Thank Christ that travesty of a show is over!

re: American Idol Predictions

To be fair, they were particularly bad tonight. Some of them had much, much MUCH better performances in the past.

re: American Idol Predictions

I think it's more that that was a bad show than this season sucks. There are always weak people, but I think this season has some of potentially best folk.

re: American Idol Predictions

I actually think they're the best top ten yet. There's some real talent there, and I think you'll see more of them go on to make something of themselves than in past seasons. It was just a bad show. The song choices sucked. At least they all pretty much sucked equally. Except for Chris, of course. It's impossible for him to suck. That said, I think Lisa will be leaving this week.

re: American Idol Predictions

I hope that's true, because like FF, this was the first I've really watched and I was seriously underwhelmed!

I do wonder what the sound system is like however, since so many of them seem to have intonation problems.

Say no to Kelly Pickles. That's all I have to say.
i'm a tough act to follow because when i'm done i take the microphone with me.

re: American Idol Predictions

oh..I'm sure they do..but it almost sounds like there's no monitor speaker, or they can't really hear the accompaniment. I also know that they don't get much on stage practice time.....I don't know..I just expect that if you get to this level of the competition that you should be able to sing in tune....

Of course, this is coming from the woman who doesn't understand why it's so acceptable for Olympic level ice skaters to fall and miss jumps and spins and make so many other major mistakes........

re: American Idol Predictions

Terrible show. And I'm sorry - Chris is tone deaf. That was awful.

re: American Idol Predictions

Horrific show, and Ace assaulted my ears with that already terrible song. It's the first time I'm not afraid of Elliott's fate though. That funky white boy can't dance (and he mocked himself), but it's the first time he looked like he was having fun in a long time.

And that advice to Chris should have been given LAST week. This week was tailor-made for him, why should he have to broaden? 50's and Stevie weeks were just insulting...but that's just my opinion of course.

re: American Idol Predictions

I actually went to a taping of American Idol last year and it's true, it sounds A LOT different live than on tv. While we were there the performances sounded much much better than when we watched them over on TV. They probably can't even hear themselves, it was like being at a concert, very loud. I couldn't even tell who was good and who wasn't until I watched it back over on TV.

re: American Idol Predictions

Last night's show was horrible. Bucky needs to go. Ace sounded awful and what was with that scar? When he sang "scar" he had to show his own?

Chris and Katherine are my favorites.

re: American Idol Predictions

Really...how did they come up with their song selections last night? There wasn't one who WOW'd me....even my Katharine disappointed me last night, but she still is my favorite.
